惟爾之上帝耶和華、為爾先導、使約書亞導爾濟河、殲滅此異邦族姓、據有其地、循耶和華言。

The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross over ahead of you, as the Lord said.

爾今當知、爾之上帝耶和華、如火之燎、為爾先導、覆滅爾敵、使爾驅逐之、敗亡之、其事甚速、應其前言。

必命約書亞、強固厥志、導民濟河、得爾所見之土、

當日耶和華使約書亞為尊於以色列族前、民盡寅畏、至於畢生、如畏摩西然。

我僕摩西逝世、爾今導民濟約但、至我所賜以色列族之地。

命嫩之子約書亞曰、強乃志、壯乃心、蓋爾必導以色列族、入耶和華所誓之地、彼必佑爾。○

倘昔約書亞曾以安息賜民、則上帝必不復言異日賜之、

世人牧伯、無能拯救、不可恃之兮、彼既斷氣、則歸於土、凡有謀為、既日消亡兮、凡賴雅各之上帝耶和華、蒙厥眷祐者、福祉孔多兮。天地滄海、凡百庶物、咸其所造、言出惟行、永世不忘兮、

爾施大力、降災於異邦而驅逐之兮、爾使選民、安居厥所兮、斯民得土、不恃戈兵、不藉人力、乃爾巨力大能、眷顧而祐之兮。

耶和華諭摩西曰嫩之子約書亞、其人感於神、汝可簡取、按手其上、置於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、付托以命、以汝尊榮、加諸其身、使以色列會眾、無不遵循、彼必立於祭司、以利亞撒前、以利亞撒用烏陵、諮諏我意、彼及以色列會眾、必聽斯命而出入。

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾逝世之期伊邇、當召約書亞、偕立於會幕中、我必付託之。摩西約書亞遵命、立於會幕。

摩西在以色列眾前、召約書亞、告之曰、強乃志、壯乃心、昔耶和華與列祖發誓、以斯土予民、爾必偕行、使彼得之、耶和華為爾先導、左右爾、不遺棄爾、毋恐懼、毋畏葸。○

夫摩西嘗按手於嫩之子約書亞、感以智神、使之充盈、故以色列族聽從、遵耶和華所諭摩西之命。

耶和華諭約書亞曰、我使爾為尊於以色列族前、自今日始、俾其知悉、昔我佑摩西、今必佑爾。

以色列語約瑟曰、我死期將至、上帝必祐爾、使爾返於爾祖所旅之處。
