That’s when all the Israelites come to appear in front of the Lord your God at the holy tent. It will be at the place he will choose. You must read this law to them.

“你们所有男子要每年三次，即在无酵节、七七收获节和住棚节，在你们的上帝耶和华指定的地方朝见祂。你们不可空手朝见，各人要按祂赐的福分，尽自己的能力献上礼物。

因为自古以来，在各城都有人宣讲摩西的律法，每逢安息日，都有人在会堂里诵读。”

第二天，全体民众的族长、祭司和利未人都到律法教师以斯拉那里，要深入研究律法上的话。

全体民众万众一心，聚集在水门前的广场上。他们请律法教师以斯拉带来耶和华借摩西颁给以色列人的律法书。七月一日，以斯拉祭司把律法书带到能听懂的男女会众面前，面向水门前的广场，从清早到正午一直向他们宣读律法书，人们都侧耳倾听。律法教师以斯拉站在为这聚会预备的木台上，站在他右边的是玛他提雅、示玛、亚奈雅、乌利亚、希勒迦和玛西雅；站在他左边的是毗大雅、米沙利、玛基雅、哈顺、哈拔大拿、撒迦利亚和米书兰。以斯拉站在高处，他在全体会众面前一打开书卷，他们都站了起来。以斯拉称颂伟大的上帝耶和华，全体民众都举手应声说：“阿们！阿们！”他们又面伏于地，俯伏敬拜耶和华。耶书亚、巴尼、示利比、雅悯、亚谷、沙比太、荷第雅、玛西雅、基利他、亚撒利雅、约撒拔、哈难、毗莱雅和利未人帮助民众明白律法，当时民众都站在自己的地方。他们宣读上帝的律法书，并解释清楚，使民众明白所宣读的。

读完律法书和先知书后，会堂主管派人告诉他们：“弟兄们，如果你们有什么劝勉众人的话，请讲。”

我要从你面前赶走外族人，扩张你的领土。你一年三次来朝见你的上帝耶和华时，必没有人贪恋你的土地。

他们越走越有力，都要到锡安朝见上帝。

要在耕种后、收取初熟之物的时候守收割节。要在年终从田间收取劳动成果时守收藏节。以色列所有的男子都要在这三个节期上来朝见主耶和华。

他们站在自己的地方，宣读他们上帝耶和华的律法书，长达三个小时。他们又用了三个小时认罪，敬拜他们的上帝耶和华。

祂来到自己长大的地方拿撒勒，照常在安息日进会堂，并站起来诵读圣经。有人把以赛亚先知书递给祂，祂打开书卷，找到这样一段经文：

从第一天到最后一天，以斯拉每天都诵读上帝的律法书。他们守节期七天，第八天根据典章举行庄严的聚会。
