这样，我必使你的淫荡和你从埃及地沾染的淫乱离开你，你的眼必不仰望他们，你也必不再怀念埃及。

你进去取得他们的地，并不是因着你的义，也不是因着你心里的正直，而是因着这些国的民的恶，耶和华你的神才把他们从你面前赶出去，为要实践他向你的列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各，起誓应许的话。

所以，你们要谨守我的律例和典章；这一切可憎的事，无论是本地人或是在你们中间寄居的外人，一件都不可作（因为在你们以前住在那地的人，行了这一切可憎的事，就玷污了自己）；免得你们玷污那地，那地就把你们吐出去，像吐出了在你们以前的各民族一样。无论什么人，行了一件这些可憎的事，必从自己的族人中被剪除。所以你们要谨守我的吩咐，免得你们行那些可憎的风俗，就是你们以前的人所行的，玷污了自己。我是耶和华你们的神。”

他行耶和华看为恶的事，随从耶和华在以色列人面前赶走的列国所行可厌恶的事。

此外，所有的祭司长和人民也都大大地得罪神，随从列国所行一切可憎的事；他们污秽了耶和华在耶路撒冷分别为圣的殿。

耶和华喜悦千千的公羊，或是万万的油河吗？为我的过犯，我可以献上我的长子吗？为我的罪恶，献上我亲生的孩子吗？

你不可把你的子孙献给摩洛，也不可亵渎你神的名；我是耶和华。

“你要对以色列人说：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的儿子献给摩洛，必要把他处死；本地的人要用石头把他打死。

他行耶和华看为恶的事，好像耶和华在以色列人面前赶走的民族所行的可憎恶的事。

你们奉上供物，使你们的儿子经火，用你们的一切偶像玷污自己，直到今日。以色列家啊，我怎能让你们向我求问呢？主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓：我决不让你们向我求问。这是主耶和华的宣告。
