While Belshazzar was drinking his wine, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver goblets that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.

火盆和碗，无论金的银的，护卫长都带走了；

我又对祭司和这众百姓说：“耶和华如此说：你们不可听那先知对你们所说的预言，他们说：‘看哪，耶和华殿中的器皿快要从巴比伦带回来’；其实他们向你们传的是假预言。不可听从他们，只管服事巴比伦王，就得存活。何必使这城变为废墟呢？他们若真是先知，有耶和华的话临到他们，让他们祈求万军之耶和华，使耶和华殿中和犹大王宫内，并耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，不致被带到巴比伦去。万军之耶和华这样论柱子、铜海、盆座，并留在这城里剩下的器皿，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒掳掠约雅敬的儿子犹大王耶哥尼雅，并犹大、耶路撒冷所有贵族时，没有从耶路撒冷掠去巴比伦的器皿。论到那在耶和华殿中和犹大王宫内，并耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，万军之耶和华—以色列的神如此说：它们必被带到巴比伦，存放在那里，直到我眷顾以色列人，将这些器皿带回归还此地的日子。这是耶和华说的。”

杯、火盆、碗、锅、灯台、勺子、酒杯，无论金的银的，护卫长都带走了；

竟向天上的主自高，差人将他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。你又赞美那不能看、不能听、无知无识，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明，没有将荣耀归与那手中掌管你气息，管理你一切行动的神。

他把神殿里一切的大小器皿与耶和华殿里的财宝，以及王和众领袖的财宝，全都带到巴比伦去。

他们饮酒，赞美金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明。

列国都要服事他和他的子孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到；那时，许多国家和大君王要使他作奴隶。

亚哈的儿子以色列王约兰第十二年，犹大王约兰的儿子亚哈谢登基。他登基的时候年二十二岁，在耶路撒冷作王一年。他母亲名叫亚她利雅，是以色列王暗利的孙女。亚哈谢行亚哈家的道，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，与亚哈家一样，因为他是亚哈家的女婿。

于是但以理被领到王面前。王问但以理说：“你就是我父王从犹大带来、被掳的犹大人但以理吗？

你，王啊，至高的神曾将国度、大权、荣耀、威严赐给你父尼布甲尼撒；

过了一年，尼布甲尼撒王差遣人将约雅斤和耶和华殿里宝贵的器皿带到巴比伦，然后立约雅斤的叔父西底家作犹大和耶路撒冷的王。

在你国中有一人，他里头有神圣神明的灵，你父在世的日子，这人心中光明，又有聪明智慧，好像神明的智慧。你父尼布甲尼撒王，就是王的父，曾立他为术士、巫师、迦勒底人和观兆者的领袖，

大卫对他说：“你不要惧怕，我必因你父亲约拿单的缘故向你施恩，把你祖父扫罗的一切田地都归还你，你也可以常与我同席吃饭。”

后来他又娶押沙龙的女儿玛迦，从她生了亚比雅、亚太、细撒和示罗密。

亚撒王甚至废了他祖母玛迦太后的位，因玛迦造了可憎的亚舍拉。亚撒砍下她的偶像，捣得粉碎，在汲沦溪边烧了，
