Seek the Lord and live, or he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire; it will devour them, and Bethel will have no one to quench it.

Israel, look to the Lord and live. If you don’t, he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire. It will burn everything up. And Bethel won’t have anyone to put it out.

Seek the Lord and live, lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, with none to quench it for Bethel,

Come back to the Lord and live! Otherwise, he will roar through Israel like a fire, devouring you completely. Your gods in Bethel won’t be able to quench the flames.

故耶和華謂以色列家曰、爾其尋我則得生、

謂南林曰、宜聽耶和華言、主耶和華云、我必燃火於爾、盡焚爾木、或青或枯、其焰不滅、自南及北、灼炙眾面、凡有血氣者、必知斯火為我耶和華所燃、不得撲滅、

儻爾一手陷爾、則斫之、寧殘而入於生、勝有二手入地獄不滅之火、儻爾一足陷爾、則斫之、寧跛而入於生、勝有二足投於地獄不滅之火、儻爾一目陷爾、則去之、寧一目而進上帝國、勝有二目投於地獄、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、

猶大人及耶路撒冷居民歟、宜對耶和華自潔、祛除爾心之污、免我因爾所行之惡、發怒如火炎炎、無能撲滅、

分地為七、猶大族居南境、約瑟家居北境、

約瑟家往攻伯特利、耶和華偕之、伯特利昔名路斯、約瑟家遣人窺之、

以巨盂飲酒、以寶膏自沐、而為約瑟之難、則不憂焉、

僕自知干罪、故今日約瑟家中、我至獨先、以迎我主我王、

耶羅波安乃勇士、所羅門見其少年殷勤、委之督約瑟家之工、

故主耶和華曰、我必傾我忿怒於斯土、在其人民牲畜、田木土產、如火之烈、焚燬不熄、○

耶和華可遇之時、爾其尋之、相近之日、爾其籲之、

我將鞏固猶大室、拯救約瑟家、導之旋歸、加以矜憫、俾如未見棄者、蓋我為其上帝耶和華、必聽其祈、

以色列見約瑟二子、曰、此何人也、約瑟曰、乃上帝於斯、所賜我之子、曰、攜之來前、我為祝嘏、以色列年邁、目昏無見、約瑟攜子進前、乃吻而抱之、謂約瑟曰、吾不意覿爾面、上帝復使睹爾子、約瑟令二子離膝前、而自伏地以拜、後攜二子、右執以法蓮、向以色列左、左執瑪拿西、向以色列右、進於其前、以色列伸右手、按季子以法蓮首、以左手按長子瑪拿西首、交叉其臂、有意存焉、乃祝約瑟曰、昔我祖父亞伯拉罕以撒所崇事之上帝、迄今一生育我之上帝、拯我出患難之使者、願其錫嘏童蒙、使歸我及我祖父亞伯拉罕以撒名下、繁衍於地、約瑟見父以右手按以法蓮首、不悅、乃舉父手、欲自以法蓮首、移於瑪拿西首、曰、吾父勿爾、此乃長子、請按右手於其首、父不許、曰、吾子、我知之矣、此子亦必成為一族、且復昌大、惟季必越於長、其裔成為羣族、是日祝之曰、以色列族祝嘏、必曰、願上帝使之若以法蓮瑪拿西然、於是立以法蓮在瑪拿西之先、

則告之曰、主耶和華云、我必取以法蓮手中、約瑟與其同儕以色列支派之杖、置於猶大之杖、連之為一、在於我手、成為一杖、

蓋爾上帝耶和華乃烈火、忌邪之上帝、○

強者如亂麻、所作如火星、相遇必焚、無人撲滅、

爾告之曰、主耶和華云、我指己生而誓、惡人死亡、我所不悅、惟悅惡人轉離其道、而得生存、以色列家乎、爾其回轉、回轉、離爾惡途、何為自取死亡、

如火燃棘、延燒露積、或禾稼、或田園、則舉火者必償之、○
