They lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge. In the house of their god they drink wine taken as fines.

They lie down beside every altar on clothes they have taken. They lie on those clothes until the owner pays back what is owed. In the house of their God they drink wine that was paid as fines.

如果他是窮人，用自己的外袍作抵押，你們不可把他的外袍留到第二天，要在當天日落之前還給他，好讓他蓋著外袍睡覺。他會因此祝福你們，你們的上帝耶和華也會將此視為你們的義行。「不可欺壓窮苦的雇工，不論他們是你們的同胞，還是住在你們城中的外族人。你們要在每天日落前付給他們工錢，因為他們窮苦，靠工錢維生；否則他們向耶和華控訴你們，你們就有罪了。「不可因孩子犯罪而處死父親，也不可因父親犯罪而處死孩子。各人要自負罪責。「你們要公正地對待寄居者和孤兒，不可拿寡婦的衣物作抵押。

倘若他把衣服給你作抵押，你要在日落之前把衣服還給他。因為他只有這件蔽體的衣服，若是沒有，他晚上如何睡覺？他若呼求我，我必定幫助他，因為我是仁慈的。

你們以大碗狂飲，用上等膏油抹身，卻漠不關心約瑟家的衰亡。

住在撒瑪利亞山上的巴珊肥母牛啊，你們要聽！你們壓榨貧寒人，欺凌窮苦人，又使喚丈夫倒酒暢飲。

示劍人出城到田間採摘葡萄，踩榨葡萄汁，然後在他們的神廟中歡宴，盡情吃喝，咒詛亞比米勒。

坐在華麗的床上，面前的桌子上擺設著我的香料和膏油。

你們祭司藉我子民的贖罪祭自肥，滿心希望他們犯罪。

不欺壓人，反而退還債戶的抵押品；不搶奪財物，反而給饑餓的人食物吃，給赤身露體的人衣服穿；

也不要像他們當中的人那樣去祭拜偶像，正如聖經上說：「百姓坐下吃喝，起來狂歡。」

欺壓貧窮困苦的人，搶奪財物，扣留債戶的抵押品，祭拜偶像，犯罪作惡，

如果有人看見你這明白以上道理的人竟然坐在偶像的廟中吃喝，他雖然良心不安，豈不還是會放膽吃獻給偶像的祭物嗎？

你們躺在象牙床上，靠在臥榻上，你們吃養在圈裡的肥嫩牛羊。

你們不能又喝主的杯又喝鬼魔的杯，不能又吃主的聖餐又吃祭鬼魔的食物。

你們在高山上淫亂、獻祭，
