祈主一視彼眾之威脅、使爾僕以大無畏精神、宣揚爾道；

我向在爾中宣揚天國、今而後吾知爾等不得重睹吾顏矣。

禱畢、大地震動、眾感聖神、無不昌言天主之道焉。

及斐理伯傳主福音、揚名基督、男女誠服、

當時惟主佑我、充我以大無畏精神、俾我猶克從容布道於異邦人、且竟能安然脫出獅口。

而多數宗主之兄弟、因予之被囚、舉相率鼓其勇氣、再接再厲、以大無畏之精神、弘宣天主之道。

亦乞為吾儕祈求天主、為我洞開傳道之門、俾我得闡揚基督之玄妙、而暢發其底蘊。願爾祈求天主、使我能闡發聖道；我今身被桎梏正為此。

乃日於殿中、或在寓所、誨人不倦、而宣耶穌為基督焉。

予之所以身被桎梏、一若匪徒者、惟為斯福音而已。雖然、天主之道、則無人能加以桎梏也。

無何、耶穌周遊城鄉傳道、宣揚天主國之福音；十二門徒從行；

是夜、主臨葆樂曰：『勿餒！汝今為予證道於耶路撒冷、來日亦必得為證於羅馬也。』

如望既被逮、耶穌返加利利、傳天主之福音曰：
