Therefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you,but now, no longer having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come to you,whenever I travel to Spain, I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.But now, I say, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in fleshly things.When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.

When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him,and saying,“ Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.”Jesus said to him,“ I will come and heal him.”The centurion answered,“ Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them.

There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail.

Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. The Italians greet you.

When we entered into Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Paul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier who guarded him.

There the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy, and he put us on board.

When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying,“ Certainly this was a righteous man.”

But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, stopped them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should throw themselves overboard first to go toward the land;

When the centurion heard it, he went to the commanding officer and told him,“ Watch what you are about to do, for this man is a Roman!”

Immediately he took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. They, when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, stopped beating Paul.

The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and no one can stop his hand, or ask him,“ What are you doing?”

Now after these things had ended, Paul determined in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying,“ After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

Paul summoned one of the centurions, and said,“ Bring this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to tell him.”

They said,“ Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man and one who fears God, and well spoken of by all the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to invite you to his house, and to listen to what you say.”

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today.

He ordered the centurion that Paul should be kept in custody, and should have some privileges, and not to forbid any of his friends to serve him or to visit him.

A certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and at the point of death.
