Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said,“ The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses.”

Some of the believers were Pharisees. They stood up and said,“ The Gentiles must be circumcised. They must obey the law of Moses.”

But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said,“ It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.”

But then some of the believers who belonged to the sect of the Pharisees stood up and insisted,“ The Gentile converts must be circumcised and required to follow the law of Moses.”

But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying,“ It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

有幾個人從猶太下來，教導弟兄們說：「你們若不按照摩西的規矩受割禮，不能得救。」

我出生後第八天受割禮；我是以色列族、便雅憫支派的人，是希伯來人所生的希伯來人。就律法說，我是法利賽人；就熱心說，我是迫害教會的；就律法上的義說，我是無可指責的。只是我先前以為對我是有益的，我現在因基督的緣故而當作是有損的。不但如此，我已把萬事當作是有損的，因我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。我為他已經丟棄萬事，看作糞土，為要贏得基督，

我們聽說，有幾個人從我們這裏出去，用一些話騷擾你們，使你們的心困惑，其實我們並沒有吩咐他們。

基督釋放了我們，為使我們得自由。所以要站穩了，不要再被奴隸的軛挾制。我－保羅告訴你們，你們若受割禮，基督就對你們無益了。我再指着凡受割禮的人確實地說，他有義務遵行全部的律法。

他們若肯作見證，就知道我從起初是按着我們教中最嚴緊的教門作了法利賽人。現在我站在這裏受審，是為了對神向我們祖宗的應許存着盼望。

我們看這個人如同瘟疫一般，是鼓動普天下所有的猶太人作亂的人，又是拿撒勒教派裏的一個頭目。

他們聽見了，就歸榮耀給神，對保羅說：「弟兄，你看猶太人中有數以萬計的信徒，而他們都是熱心於律法的人。
