And it came to pass, when the days were well- nigh come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.

who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own that were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men.( Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken- hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you.

Paul, an apostle( not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),

Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

And he appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,and to have authority to cast out demons:and Simon he surnamed Peter;and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and them he surnamed Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphæus, and Thaddæus, and Simon the Cananæan,and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. And he cometh into a house.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him;

And he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphæus, and Thaddæus;Simon the Cananæan, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,and Matthew and Thomas, and James the son of Alphæus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor;

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen of angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

And when they were come in, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were abiding; both Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphæus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

that ye should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandment of the Lord and Saviour through your apostles:

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for he giveth not the Spirit by measure.
