我雖然被膏立為王，今天卻軟弱；這些人——洗魯雅的兒子們強硬得令我作難。願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡，報應惡人！」

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、此洗魯雅之子、逼我太甚、願耶和華依惡人之惡而報之、

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、而西魯雅之二子、桀驁不馴、願耶和華視惡人之罪戾、而報施焉。

我始受膏為王、今尚荏弱、此西魯雅二子強於我、願主循惡人所行之惡而報之、

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”

I’m the anointed king. But today I’m weak. These sons of Zeruiah are too powerful for me. May the Lord pay back the one who killed Abner! May he pay him back for the evil thing he has done!”

And I was gentle today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are more severe than I. The Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!”

And even though I am the anointed king, these two sons of Zeruiah— Joab and Abishai— are too strong for me to control. So may the Lord repay these evil men for their evil deeds.”

As for me, even though I am the anointed king, I have little power today. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too fierce for me. May the LORD repay the evildoer according to his evil!”

And I am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too difficult for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer in proportion to his evil.”

And I[ am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah[ be] too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

這二人的血必歸到約押和他後裔頭上，直到永遠；惟有大衛和他的後裔，以及他的家與王位，必從耶和華那裏得平安，直到永遠。」於是耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅上去，擊殺約押，殺死他，把他葬在曠野約押自己的家裏。

我每日早晨要滅絕地上所有的惡人，把作惡的從耶和華的城裏全都剪除。

銅匠亞歷山大多方害我；主必照他所行的報應他。

求你按着他們所做的，按他們的惡行對待他們；求你照着他們手所做的對待他們，將他們應得的報應加給他們。

你也知道洗魯雅的兒子約押向我所做的事，他對付以色列的兩個元帥，尼珥的兒子押尼珥和益帖的兒子亞瑪撒，殺了他們。他在太平之時，如同戰爭一般，流這二人的血，把這戰爭的血染了他腰間束的帶和腳上穿的鞋。所以你要照你的智慧去做，不讓他白髮安然下陰間。

大衛說：「我兒子所羅門還年幼脆弱，要為耶和華建造的殿宇必須高大輝煌，使名聲榮耀傳遍萬國，所以我要為殿預備。」於是，大衛在未死之前預備了許多材料。

王坐在審判的位上，以眼目驅散一切邪惡。

約押進了宮到王那裏，說：「你今日使你眾臣僕的臉面羞愧了！他們今日救了你的性命和你兒女妻妾的性命，你卻愛那些恨你的人，恨那些愛你的人。今日你擺明了不以將帥、臣僕為念。我今日看得出，若押沙龍活着，我們今日全都死了，你就高興了。現在你要起來，出去安慰你臣僕的心。我指着耶和華起誓：你若不出去，今夜必沒有一人跟你在一起了。這禍患比你從幼年到如今所遭受的更嚴重！」

他對審判官說：「你們應當謹慎所做的事，因為你們審判不是為人，而是為耶和華。在審判的事上，他必與你們同在。現在，你們應當敬畏耶和華，謹慎辦事，因為耶和華－我們的上帝沒有不義，不看人的情面，也不受賄賂。」

對他說：『你要謹慎，要鎮定，不要害怕，不要因利汛和亞蘭，以及利瑪利的兒子這兩個冒煙火把的頭所發的烈怒而心裏膽怯。

你們要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉嗎？我若不立你在我面前取代約押永久作元帥，願上帝重重懲罰我！』」

因為他是上帝的用人，是與你有益的。你若作惡，就該懼怕，因為他不是徒然佩劍；他是上帝的用人，為上帝的憤怒，報應作惡的。

惡人一切的角，我要砍斷；惟有義人的角必被高舉。

主啊，慈愛也是屬乎你，因為你照着各人所做的報應他。

他的毒害必回到自己頭上，他的殘暴必落到自己的腦袋上。

「打人致死的，必被處死。

六子阿鮮，七子大衛。他們的姊妹是洗魯雅和亞比該。洗魯雅的兒子是亞比篩、約押和亞撒黑，共三人。

除去王面前的惡人，國位就靠公義堅立。
