The Tekoan woman said to the king,“ My lord the king, let any blame fall on me and on the house of my father. But let the king and his throne be innocent!”

提哥亚妇人说：“我主我王，愿罪过都落在婢女和婢女家族，一切都与我王和王的王位无关。”

提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪归于我和我父的家；愿王和王的王位与这罪无关。”

提哥亞婦人又對王說：「我主我王，願這罪歸我和我父家，與王和王的位無干。」

提克亞的那婦人就對王說：「我主我王，願這罪孽歸於我和我父家！王和你的王權是清白的。」

提哥亞婦曰、我主我王歟、罪歸於我、及我父家、王與國位、均無尤焉、

婦曰、我主我王歟、咎歸於我、及我父之家、爾與爾國、均無尤焉。

提哥亞婦又告王曰、我主我王、罪必歸我及我父之家、與王及王之位無與也、

But the woman from Tekoa said to him,“ Let my lord the king pardon me and my family, and let the king and his throne be without guilt.”

But the woman from Tekoa said to him,“ You are my king and master. Please pardon me and my family. You and your royal family won’t be guilty of doing anything wrong.”

And the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ On me be the guilt, my lord the king, and on my father’s house; let the king and his throne be guiltless.”

“ Oh, thank you, my lord the king,” the woman from Tekoa replied.“ If you are criticized for helping me, let the blame fall on me and on my father’s house, and let the king and his throne be innocent.”

Then the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord the king, may any blame be on me and my father’s family, and may the king and his throne be innocent.”

The woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord, the king, the guilt is on me and my father’s house, but the king and his throne are guiltless.”

And the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My Lord, O king, let the iniquity be on me and on my father’s house, and the king and his throne be guiltless.”

And the woman of Tekoa said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and the king and his throne be guiltless.

Then the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord the king, may any blame be on me and my father’s house, and may the king and his throne be innocent.”

And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity[ be] on me, and on my father’s house: and the king and his throne[ be] guiltless.

The woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord, O king, may the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and may the king and his throne be guiltless.”

Falling at his feet, she said,“ My lord, I accept all the guilt! But please let your female servant speak with my lord! Please listen to the words of your servant!

May Joab and his descendants be perpetually guilty of their shed blood, but may the LORD give perpetual peace to David, his descendants, his family, and his dynasty.”

In reply all the people said,“ Let his blood be on us and on our children!”

When David later heard about this, he said,“ I and my kingdom are forever innocent before the LORD of the shed blood of Abner son of Ner!May his blood whirl over the head of Joab and the entire house of his father! May the males of Joab’s house never cease to have someone with a running sore or a skin disease or one who works at the spindle or one who falls by the sword or one who lacks food!”

If a homicide victim should be found lying in a field in the land the LORD your God is giving you, and no one knows who killed him,your elders and judges must go out and measure how far it is to the cities in the vicinity of the corpse.Then the elders of the city nearest to the corpse must take from the herd a heifer that has not been worked– that has never pulled with the yoke–and bring the heifer down to a wadi with flowing water, to a valley that is neither plowed nor sown. There at the wadi they are to break the heifer’s neck.Then the Levitical priests will approach( for the LORD your God has chosen them to serve him and to pronounce blessings in his name, and to decide every judicial verdict)and all the elders of that city nearest the corpse must wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.Then they must proclaim,“ Our hands have not spilled this blood, nor have we witnessed the crime.Do not blame your people Israel whom you redeemed, O LORD, and do not hold them accountable for the bloodshed of an innocent person.” Then atonement will be made for the bloodshed.In this manner you will purge out the guilt of innocent blood from among you, for you must do what is right before the LORD.

So his mother told him,“ Any curse against you will fall on me, my son! Just obey me! Go and get them for me!”

“ You must not pollute the land where you live, for blood defiles the land, and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed there, except by the blood of the person who shed it.
