The woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord, the king, the guilt is on me and my father’s house, but the king and his throne are guiltless.”

提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪归我和我父家，与王和王的位无干。”

提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪孽归我和我的父家，与王和王的位无关。”

提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪孽归我和我的父家，与王和王的位无关。”

提哥亚妇人说：“我主我王，愿罪过都落在婢女和婢女家族，一切都与我王和王的王位无关。”

提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪归于我和我父的家；愿王和王的王位与这罪无关。”

提哥亞婦人又對王說：「我主我王，願這罪歸我和我父家，與王和王的位無干。」

提哥亞婦人又對王說：「我主我王，願這罪孽歸我和我的父家，與王和王的位無關。」

提哥亞婦人又對王說：「我主我王，願這罪孽歸我和我的父家，與王和王的位無關。」

提哥亞婦人說：「我主我王，願罪過都落在婢女和婢女家族，一切都與我王和王的王位無關。」

提哥亞婦人又對王說：“我主我王，願這罪歸於我和我父的家；願王和王的王位與這罪無關。”

提哥亞婦人就對王說：『我主我王，願這罪罰歸我和我父的家，願王和他的王位無罪。』

提克亞的那婦人就對王說：「我主我王，願這罪孽歸於我和我父家！王和你的王權是清白的。」

提哥亞婦曰、我主我王歟、罪歸於我、及我父家、王與國位、均無尤焉、

婦曰、我主我王歟、咎歸於我、及我父之家、爾與爾國、均無尤焉。

提哥亞婦又告王曰、我主我王、罪必歸我及我父之家、與王及王之位無與也、

But the woman from Tekoa said to him,“ Let my lord the king pardon me and my family, and let the king and his throne be without guilt.”

But the woman from Tekoa said to him,“ You are my king and master. Please pardon me and my family. You and your royal family won’t be guilty of doing anything wrong.”

And the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ On me be the guilt, my lord the king, and on my father’s house; let the king and his throne be guiltless.”

“ Oh, thank you, my lord the king,” the woman from Tekoa replied.“ If you are criticized for helping me, let the blame fall on me and on my father’s house, and let the king and his throne be innocent.”

Then the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord the king, may any blame be on me and my father’s family, and may the king and his throne be innocent.”

And the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My Lord, O king, let the iniquity be on me and on my father’s house, and the king and his throne be guiltless.”

And the woman of Tekoa said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and the king and his throne be guiltless.

Then the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord the king, may any blame be on me and my father’s house, and may the king and his throne be innocent.”

And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity[ be] on me, and on my father’s house: and the king and his throne[ be] guiltless.

The Tekoan woman said to the king,“ My lord the king, let any blame fall on me and on the house of my father. But let the king and his throne be innocent!”

The woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord, O king, may the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and may the king and his throne be guiltless.”

She fell at his feet and said,“ On me alone, my lord, be the blame. And please let your slave speak to you, and listen to the words of your slave.

So their blood shall return on the head of Joab and on the head of his descendants forever; but for David and his descendants, and his house and his throne, may there be peace from the Lord forever.”

And all the people replied,“ His blood shall be on us and on our children!”

Afterward, when David heard about this, he said,“ I and my kingdom are innocent before the Lord forever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner.May it turn upon the head of Joab and on all his father’s house; and may there not be eliminated from the house of Joab someone who suffers a discharge, or has leprosy, or holds the spindle, or falls by the sword, or lacks bread.”

“ If a person who has been killed by someone is found lying in the open country in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess, and it is not known who struck him,then your elders and your judges shall go out and measure the distance to the cities which are around the one who was killed.And it shall be that the city which is nearest to the person killed, that is, that the elders of that city shall take a heifer of the herd that has not been worked and has not pulled in a yoke;and the elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a valley with running water, which has not been plowed or sown, and they shall break the heifer’s neck there in the valley.Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come forward, because the Lord your God has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the name of the Lord; and every dispute and violent crime shall be settled by them.And all the elders of that city which is nearest to the person killed shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley;and they shall respond and say,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see who did.Forgive Your people Israel whom You have redeemed, Lord, and do not place the guilt for innocent blood in the midst of Your people Israel.’ And the guilt for bloodshed shall be forgiven them.So you shall remove the guilt for innocent blood from your midst, when you do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

But his mother said to him,“ Your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, get the goats for me.”

So you shall not defile the land in which you live; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.
