希西家遂以主殿與王宮之府庫所有之銀、悉饋亞述王、當時猶大王希西家將主殿門扉之金、與己所蔽於殿柱之金、悉剝而取之、饋亞述王、

亞述王提革拉毘尼色既至、不助之、反加以困迫、亞哈斯雖以主殿王宮大夫家之物、賄亞述王、彼仍不助之、

亞撒自主殿府庫、及王宮府庫中、取金銀、遣人餽都大瑪色之亞蘭王便哈達、曰、

故主必使亞述王率軍旅來攻之、勢如大河之水、狂流洶湧、漲溢出川、氾濫逾岸、流入猶大、氾濫漲溢、深及於項、以瑪內利乎、其其即亞述王羽翼必充於四境、遍爾國中、○

掘坑使深、自掘自陷、其險害必臨己之首、其兇毒必歸己之頂、

主必使降災之日、臨爾與爾民及爾父家、自以法蓮叛猶大以來、未有若是之日、即使亞述王至而攻爾、
