Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God.

And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee,[ and] wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

And he did[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.

Ahaz[ was] twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old,[ that] his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as[ was] the heart of David his father.For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as[ did] David his father.Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that[ is] before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.

And he did[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

And he did[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.

And he did[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

And he did[ that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.

And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
