要趁著還可以找到耶和華的時候尋找祂，趁祂還在附近的時候求告祂。願邪惡的人停止作惡，不義的人除掉惡念。願他們歸向耶和華，祂必憐憫他們；願他們歸向我們的上帝，祂必仁慈地赦免他們。

若他們在那裡回心轉意，向你懇求，承認自己犯罪作惡了；若他們全心全意地歸向你，朝著你賜給他們祖先的這片土地、你選擇的這城和我為你建的這殿向你禱告，求你從你天上的居所垂聽他們的祈求，為他們伸張正義，赦免得罪你的子民。

自掩其罪，必不亨通；痛改前非，必蒙憐憫。

倘若惡人離惡行義，他必救回自己的性命。因為他醒悟過來，痛改前非，必能活著，不致死亡。以色列人卻說，『主這樣做不公平！』以色列人啊，是我的做法不公平呢？還是你們的做法不公平呢？「所以主耶和華說，『以色列人啊，我必按你們各人的行為審判你們。你們要悔改，痛改前非，使你們不致死在罪惡中。

難道基列沒有藥物、沒有醫生嗎？為什麼我同胞的創傷至今未癒？

我們如此淪落，好像從未被你治理過，從來不屬於你。

求你從天上的居所垂聽，赦免他們。唯獨你能洞察人心，你必按各人的行為施行賞罰，

「當我向你們陳明的這些祝福和咒詛都應驗在你們身上時，如果你們在你們的上帝耶和華驅逐你們去的各國中回想這些話，歸向你們的上帝耶和華，你們及子孫照我今天的吩咐全心全意地聽從祂的話，祂必改變你們被擄的境遇，憐憫你們，把你們從祂驅逐你們去的列國招聚回來。即使你們被驅逐到天涯，你們的上帝耶和華也會把你們帶回來，帶到你們祖先的土地上，使你們擁有那片土地，比你們祖先更加人丁興旺、繁榮昌盛。你們的上帝耶和華要潔淨你們和你們子孫的心，好讓你們全心全意地愛祂，並且存活。

耶和華說：「必有一位救贖主來到錫安，到雅各那些離棄罪惡的子孫那裡。」

主說：「起來，到直街的猶大家去見一個來自大數、名叫掃羅的人，他正在向我禱告。

我沒有在隱秘處暗暗地說話，我沒有對雅各的後裔說，『你們找不到我。』我耶和華宣揚真理，傳講正義。
