In every case that comes before you from your people who live in the cities— whether bloodshed or other concerns of the law, commands, decrees or regulations— you are to warn them not to sin against the Lord; otherwise his wrath will come on you and your people. Do this, and you will not sin.

Cases will come to you from your people who live in the other cities. The cases might be about murder or other matters dealt with by the law, commands, directions and rules. Warn the people not to sin against the Lord. If you don’t warn them, he will be angry with you and your people. Do what I say. Then you won’t sin.

whenever a case comes to you from your brothers who live in their cities, concerning bloodshed, law or commandment, statutes or rules, then you shall warn them, that they may not incur guilt before the Lord and wrath may not come upon you and your brothers. Thus you shall do, and you will not incur guilt.

Whenever a case comes to you from fellow citizens in an outlying town, whether a murder case or some other violation of God’s laws, commands, decrees, or regulations, you must warn them not to sin against the Lord, so that he will not be angry with you and them. Do this and you will not be guilty.

For every dispute that comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities— whether it regards differences of bloodguilt, law, commandment, statutes, or judgments— you are to warn them, so they will not incur guilt before the LORD and wrath will not come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not incur guilt.

Whenever any dispute comes to you from your countrymen who live in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, you shall warn them so that they will not be guilty before the Lord, and wrath will not come on you and your countrymen. Whenever your countrymen who live in the cities bring a case before you( whether it involves a violent crime or other matters related to the law, commandments, rules, and regulations), warn them that they must not sin against the LORD. If you fail to do so, God will be angry with you and your colleagues; but if you obey, you will be free of guilt.

Whenever any controversy comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, you must warn them, that they not be guilty toward Yahweh, and so wrath come on you and on your brothers. Do this, and you will not be guilty.

「你城中若有難以判斷的案件，涉及流血，訴訟，或毆打等爭訟的事，你就要起來，上到那裏，耶和華－你神所選擇的地方，去見利未家的祭司和當時的審判官，求問他們，他們必將判決指示你。他們在耶和華所選擇的地方指示你的判決，你要執行，謹守遵行他們一切所教導你的。要按照所教導你的律法、所告訴你的典章去執行；他們指示你的判決，你不可偏離左右。若有人擅自行事，不聽從那侍立在耶和華－你神那裏事奉的祭司，或不聽從審判官，那人就要處死。這樣，你就把惡從以色列中除掉。眾百姓聽見了都要害怕，不再擅自行事了。」

我何時指着惡人說：『他必要死』；你若不警戒他，也不勸告他，使他離開惡行，拯救他的性命，這惡人必死在罪孽之中；我卻要從你手裏討他的血債。倘若你警戒惡人，他仍不轉離罪惡，也不離開惡行，他必死在罪孽之中，你卻救了自己的命。但是義人若轉離他的義而作惡，我要把絆腳石放在他面前，他必死亡；因你沒有警戒他，他必死在罪中，他素來所行的義不被記念；我卻要從你手裏討他的血債。倘若你警戒義人，使他不犯罪，他就不犯罪；他因領受警戒就必存活，你也救了自己的命。」

摩西對亞倫說：「拿你的香爐，把祭壇的火盛在裏面，加上香，趕快帶到會眾那裏，為他們贖罪。因為有憤怒從耶和華面前發出，瘟疫已經開始了。」

哈拿尼的兒子耶戶先見出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：「你怎麼可以幫助惡人，愛那恨耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的憤怒臨到你了。

所以你們要警醒，記念我三年之久，晝夜不斷地流淚勸戒你們各人。

弟兄們，我們勸你們，要警戒不守規矩的人，勉勵灰心的人，扶助軟弱的人，對眾人要有耐心。

你們今日竟然離棄耶和華不跟從他！你們今日既然悖逆耶和華，明日他必向以色列全會眾發怒。若你們認為所得為業之地不潔淨，可以過來，到耶和華之地，就是耶和華的帳幕所居住之地，在我們中間得地業。你們卻不可悖逆耶和華，也不可背叛我們，在耶和華－我們神的壇以外為自己築壇。從前謝拉的曾孫亞干豈不是在那當滅的物上犯了罪，導致憤怒臨到以色列全會眾嗎？死在他所犯的罪中的，不只是他一個人而已！』」

倘若守望者見刀劍臨到，卻不吹角，以致百姓未受警戒，刀劍來殺了他們中間的一個人，這人雖然因自己的罪孽而死，我卻要從守望者的手裏討他的血債。
