King Asa also deposed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive image for the worship of Asherah. Asa cut it down, broke it up and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

King Asa also removed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother. That’s because she had made a pole used to worship the female god named Asherah. The Lord hated it. So Asa cut it down. He broke it up. He burned it in the Kidron Valley.

Even Maacah, his mother, King Asa removed from being queen mother because she had made a detestable image for Asherah. Asa cut down her image, crushed it, and burned it at the brook Kidron.

并且贬了他祖母玛迦太后的位，因她造了可憎的偶像亚舍拉。亚撒砍下她的偶像，烧在汲沦溪边，只是邱坛还没有废去。亚撒一生却向耶和华存诚实的心。亚撒将他父亲所分别为圣与自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿都奉到耶和华的殿里。亚撒和以色列王巴沙在世的日子常常争战。以色列王巴沙上来要攻击犹大，修筑拉玛，不许人从犹大王亚撒那里出入。于是亚撒将耶和华殿和王宫府库里所剩下的金银都交在他臣仆手中，打发他们往住大马士革的亚兰王希旬的孙子、他伯利们的儿子便哈达那里去，说：“你父曾与我父立约，我与你也要立约。现在我将金银送你为礼物，求你废掉你与以色列王巴沙所立的约，使他离开我。”便哈达听从亚撒王的话，派军长去攻击以色列的城邑；他们就攻破以云、但、亚伯伯玛迦、基尼烈全境、拿弗他利全境。巴沙听见，就停工不修筑拉玛了，仍住在得撒。于是亚撒王宣告犹大众人，不准一个推辞，吩咐他们将巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头、木头都运去，用以修筑便雅悯的迦巴和米斯巴。亚撒其余的事，凡他所行的，并他的勇力与他所建筑的城邑，都写在犹大列王记上。亚撒年老的时候，脚上有病。亚撒与他列祖同睡，葬在他祖大卫城他列祖的坟地里。他儿子约沙法接续他作王。

在耶路撒冷作王三年。他母亲名叫玛迦，是押沙龙的女儿。

却要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍下他们的木偶。

他将伯特利的坛，就是叫以色列人陷在罪里、尼八的儿子耶罗波安所筑的那坛，都拆毁焚烧，打碎成灰，并焚烧了亚舍拉。

又从耶和华殿里将亚舍拉搬到耶路撒冷外汲沦溪边焚烧，打碎成灰，将灰撒在平民的坟上；

又拆毁祭坛，把木偶和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍断以色列遍地所有的日像，就回耶路撒冷去了。

若再有人说预言，生他的父母必对他说：‘你不得存活，因为你托耶和华的名说假预言。’生他的父母在他说预言的时候，要将他刺透。

又将他们所铸的牛犊用火焚烧，磨得粉碎，撒在水面上，叫以色列人喝。

他对他们说：“耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们各人把刀跨在腰间，在营中往来，从这门到那门，各人杀他的弟兄与同伴并邻舍。’”利未的子孙照摩西的话行了。那一天百姓中被杀的约有三千。

亚撒行耶和华他神眼中看为善为正的事，除掉外邦神的坛和邱坛，打碎柱像，砍下木偶，吩咐犹大人寻求耶和华他们列祖的神，遵行他的律法、诫命；又在犹大各城邑除掉邱坛和日像，那时国享太平；

“你的同胞弟兄，或是你的儿女，或是你怀中的妻，或是如同你性命的朋友，若暗中引诱你，说：‘我们不如去侍奉你和你列祖素来所不认识的别神，是你四围列国的神。’无论是离你近，离你远，从地这边到地那边的神，你不可依从他，也不可听从他，眼不可顾惜他。你不可怜恤他，也不可遮庇他，

你们却要这样待他们：拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍下他们的木偶，用火焚烧他们雕刻的偶像。

犹大列王在亚哈斯楼顶上所筑的坛和玛拿西在耶和华殿两院中所筑的坛，王都拆毁打碎了，就把灰倒在汲沦溪中。

所以，我们从今以后，不凭着外貌认人了。虽然凭着外貌认过基督，如今却不再这样认他了。

我把那叫你们犯罪所铸的牛犊用火焚烧，又捣碎磨得很细，以致细如灰尘，我就把这灰尘撒在从山上流下来的溪水中。

他论自己的父母说：我未曾看见；他也不承认弟兄，也不认识自己的儿女。这是因利未人遵行你的话，谨守你的约。

当下，耶稣的母亲和弟兄来，站在外边，打发人去叫他。有许多人在耶稣周围坐着，他们就告诉他说：“看哪，你母亲和你弟兄在外边找你。”耶稣回答说：“谁是我的母亲？谁是我的弟兄？”就四面观看那周围坐着的人，说：“看哪，我的母亲，我的弟兄。凡遵行神旨意的人就是我的弟兄姐妹和母亲了。”

耶稣的亲属听见，就出来要拉住他，因为他们说他癫狂了。

我又要毁坏你们的邱坛，砍下你们的日像，把你们的尸首扔在你们偶像的身上；我的心也必厌恶你们。

他们雕刻的神像，你们要用火焚烧；其上的金银，你不可贪图，也不可收取，免得你因此陷入网罗；这原是耶和华你神所憎恶的。可憎的物，你不可带进家去；不然，你就成了当毁灭的，与那物一样。你要十分厌恶，十分憎嫌，因为这是当毁灭的物。”
