若有人宣傳異端、而不服膺吾主耶穌基督之至言妙理、以及奉事天主之正道、

若有人传异教，不服从我们主耶稣基督纯正的话与那合乎敬虔的道理，

若有人传别的教义，不符合我们主耶稣基督纯正的话语与合乎敬虔的教导，

若有人传别的教义，不符合我们主耶稣基督纯正的话语与合乎敬虔的教导，

如果有人传的教义不符合我们主耶稣基督纯正的道和敬虔的教导，

如果有人传别的教义，不接受我们的主耶稣基督纯正的话语，和那敬虔的道理，

如果有人传讲别的教义，不符合我们主耶稣基督的健全话语以及那合乎敬神的教导，

若有人傳異教，不服從我們主耶穌基督純正的話與那合乎敬虔的道理，

若有人傳別的教義，不符合我們主耶穌基督純正的話語與合乎敬虔的教導，

若有人傳別的教義，不符合我們主耶穌基督純正的話語與合乎敬虔的教導，

如果有人傳的教義不符合我們主耶穌基督純正的道和敬虔的教導，

如果有人傳別的教義，不接受我們的主耶穌基督純正的話語，和那敬虔的道理，

若有人傳別的教義，不歸順健全之道、我們主耶穌基督之道、跟那合乎敬虔教義之道，

如果有人傳講別的教義，不符合我們主耶穌基督的健全話語以及那合乎敬神的教導，

若有傳異教、不從我主耶穌基督之正言、不依敬虔之教者、

有人傳異教、背吾主耶穌基督正理棄敬虔之至道、

若有人施教、與此不同、不從我主耶穌基督之正言、及虔敬之訓、

If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,

Suppose someone teaches something different than I have taught. Suppose that person doesn’t agree with the true teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. Suppose they don’t agree with godly teaching.

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness,

Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life.

If anyone teaches false doctrine and does not agree with the sound teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that promotes godliness,

If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,

If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,

If any man teacheth a different doctrine, and consenteth not to sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

If anyone teaches other doctrine and does not agree with the sound teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that promotes godliness,

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words,[ even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

If someone spreads false teachings and does not agree with sound words( that is, those of our Lord Jesus Christ) and with the teaching that accords with godliness,

If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,

曩者吾適馬其頓、而留汝於伊法所者、欲汝勸告若干同人勿傳異端、

淫亂、褻行、擄掠、誑言、背誓、

葆樂、天主之僕、而耶穌基督之宗徒也。予之所以為宗徒者、乃為傳布天主選民所信之道、使人識聖教之真諦。

務懇我兄弟謹防一般離間人心、引人陷罪、背叛爾向所受之教義者；望避之若浼也。

篤踐所傳之道、庶能導人於正義、而塞反對者悠悠之口。

凡予所諭於爾者、爾亦當教之共守。予日與爾俱、迄於世末。』

今同人中頗有不此之務、而歧入蹈虛鑿空之迷途者；

凡世俗之寓言、及村嫗之神話、慎毋注意。惟宜兢兢業業、修身砥行、以達聖域。蓋『鍛鍊身體、其益猶小；鍛鍊德性、其益莫大、無論今生來生、享受無窮矣。』

曩者爾等因基督之聖寵、而蒙天主之恩召；曾幾何時、爾等竟已背棄所天、而信從另一福音、此吾之所為驚訝不置者也。夫福音豈有二哉？特有人予爾攪亂、而欲混淆基督之福音耳。

務望訓人以正、納諸軌物。年長之人、宜有節制、莊敬自持、謹慎小心、於信德、愛德、耐德、涵養純熟。

蓋時有必至、將見正道不容於世矣。滔滔者將徇其私意、好新務異各師其師；

蓋天主普救之恩、已昌明於世、廣被有眾。吾人既受其教、自應痛絕邪妄之人欲。立身處世、寧靜淡泊、孳孳為善、翼翼事主、翹足企首、仰望真福、與夫大主宰及吾救主耶穌基督之光臨。基督為吾人自舍其身、正欲拯贖吾人、脫免一切罪惡、加以洗滌、俾得充其子民、發憤為善云耳。

務望將予所授聖道之真傳、奉為圭臬；恆以信德愛德、仰體耶穌基督之心；

此言也、真實無妄。願爾以此事切實講明、務使信奉天主之人、兢兢業業、為善毋懈。此事也、盡善盡美、裨益人群。

故凡倒行逆施者、非逆於人、乃逆於賜爾聖神之天主也。

吾人仰賴耶穌之神德、得認識以其大榮大德而恩召吾人之天主。於是凡關於立身處世、敬事天主所需之一切、乃應有而盡有矣。賴斯大榮大德、吾人復受有無上無疆之恩諾、俾吾人脫世俗縱情恣慾之腐敗惡習、得躋於神化之境、而融於天主之性。因是望爾等發憤自勉、精益求精；既有信心、加以德行；既有德行、加以明達；既有明達、加以克治；既能克治；加以堅忍；既有堅忍、加以虔誠；既有虔誠、加以友愛；既有友愛、冠之以仁。

兄弟乎、曩者吾儕示爾應如何立身處世、以慰悅天主；爾已拳拳服膺。茲復因主耶穌、奉勸兄弟、發憤加勉、勇猛精進。吾儕承主耶穌之命、所授於爾之規箴、爾固知之。

曰：『凱撒也。』曰：『當以凱撒之物歸凱撒、而以天主之物歸天主。』
