With the help of Silas, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.

愛友乎、予早擬致書於爾、申論吾人所共承之救恩；今則更覺不容或緩、特馳書慰勉、極望爾等能不遺餘力、擁護當初所授於諸聖之信條。蓋此信條、一成不變；

吾儕非欲統制爾曹之信德、實欲圓成爾曹之神樂、蓋爾曹之立實憑信德。

予之近狀、第吉各當為爾詳述。渠為吾所愛之兄弟、忠實事主之同寅也。

吾雖明知爾之有知、且於爾所受之真道上亦卓爾有立、而猶不憚諄諄予爾以提撕者、

雖然、即在吾儕本人、或自天降臨之天神、苟其所傳於爾之福音、有異乎吾儕嚮所傳授者、皆宜服咒咀也。吾儕前已言之、茲予重復言之、倘有人授爾等以福音、異乎爾等嚮之所受者、則斯人之服咒咀也必矣。

若輩捨棄正道、流入歧途、與包掃兒之子巴拉盎實屬一路之人。彼巴拉盎者、貪戀不義之財、

且吾人之能因信德而臻恩寵之境、歡忻雀躍以望天主之光榮者、亦全賴基督之功德耳。

尚有阿乃西謨與偕、渠為爾之同鄉、亦一忠實可愛之兄弟也。此間諸事、彼等必為爾一一道之。

從伊伯弗拉之教、確已領會天主之洪恩。伊伯弗拉、我親愛之同寅、而基督之忠僕也。
