彼曰、自我導我民以色列出埃及、於以色列支派中、我未嘗簡一邑以建室、為我寄名之所、惟簡大衛、治我民以色列、

所許之言曰、自耶和華導以色列民、出埃及以來、迄於今日、未嘗於以色列支派中、遴選一邑、使人建殿、為籲名之所、惟簡大闢、治理我民。

自我導我民以色列出伊及以來、未曾於以色列諸支派中選一邑、使人為我名建殿、惟選大衛治理我民以色列、

‘ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, but I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’

‘ I brought my people Israel out of Egypt. Ever since, I haven’t chosen a city in any tribe of Israel where a temple could be built for my Name. But I have chosen David to rule over my people Israel.’

‘ Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel.’

‘ From the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have never chosen a city among any of the tribes of Israel as the place where a Temple should be built to honor my name. But I have chosen David to be king over my people Israel.’”

“ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city to build a temple in among any of the tribes of Israel, so that my name would be there. But I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.”

‘ Since the day that I brought My people Israel from Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house so that My name would be there, but I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

He told David,‘ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from all the tribes of Israel to build a temple in which to live. But I have chosen David to lead my people Israel.’

‘ Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.’

耶和华对撒母耳说：“我既厌弃扫罗作以色列的王，你为他悲伤要到几时呢？你将膏油盛满了角；来，我差遣你到伯利恒人耶西那里去，因为我在他儿子中已看中了一个为我作王的。”

当夜耶和华的话临到拿单，说：“你去对我仆人大卫说：‘耶和华如此说：你要建造殿宇给我居住吗？自从我领以色列人从埃及上来，直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇，却在会幕和帐幕中行走。凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列任何一个领袖，就是我吩咐牧养我百姓以色列的，说过这话：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’现在，你要对我仆人大卫这样说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再牧放羊群，立你作我百姓以色列的君王。

愿你的眼目昼夜看顾这殿，就是你说要作为你名的居所；求你垂听祷告，你仆人向此处的祷告。

然而，耶和华—以色列的上帝在我父的全家拣选我作以色列的王，直到永远。因他拣选犹大为领袖，在犹大家中拣选我父家，在我父的众儿子里喜悦我，立我作全以色列的王。

那时你们要将我所吩咐你们的燔祭、祭物、十一奉献、手中的举祭，和向耶和华许愿的一切上好的祭，都带到耶和华—你们上帝所选择立他名的居所。

自从我领以色列人上来，直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇；我从这会幕到那会幕，从这帐幕到那帐幕。凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我百姓的，说过这话：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

因为耶和华拣选了锡安，愿意当作自己的居所：

耶和华说：“我也必将犹大从我面前赶出，如同赶出以色列一样。我必撇弃我从前所选择的这城耶路撒冷和我所说我的名必留在那里的殿。”

他拣选他的仆人大卫，从羊圈中将他召来，

但耶和华—你们的上帝在你们各支派中选择何处作为立他名的居所，你们就要到那里求问，

但你们若归向我，谨守遵行我的诫命，你们被赶散的人虽在天涯，我也必从那里将他们召集回来，带到我所选择立为我名居所的地方。’

只留一个支派给他的儿子，使我仆人大卫在我所选择立我名的耶路撒冷城那里，在我面前常有灯光。

当时，你在异象中吩咐你的圣民，说：“我已把救助之力加在壮士身上，高举了那从百姓中所拣选的人。我寻得我的仆人大卫，用我的圣膏膏他。

‘自从那日我领我百姓出埃及地以来，我未曾在以色列各支派中选择一城，在那里为我的名建造殿宇，也未曾拣选一人作我百姓以色列的君王。但我选择耶路撒冷，使我的名留在那里，又拣选大卫治理我的百姓以色列。’我父大卫的心意是要为耶和华—以色列上帝的名建殿。耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你有心为我的名建殿，这心意是好的；但你不可建殿，惟有你亲生的儿子才可为我的名建殿。’现在耶和华实现了他所应许的话，使我接续我父大卫坐以色列的王位，正如耶和华所说的，我也为耶和华—以色列上帝的名建造了这殿。我将约柜安置在那里，柜内有耶和华的约，就是他与以色列人所立的约。”

你们到我的地方示罗去，就是我先前在那里立为我名的居所，察看我因这百姓以色列的罪恶向那地方所行的事。
