「別放過巴戶琳的便雅憫人基拉的兒子示每。我逃亡到瑪哈念的時候，他曾用惡毒的話咒罵我。後來他到約旦河迎接我的時候，我曾憑耶和華起誓不殺他。但你不要放過他。你是個聰明人，應該知道怎樣處置他。你要讓他白頭落地，不得善終。」

明君必篩出惡人，用石磙碾軋他們。

大衛王來到巴戶琳時，掃羅家族基拉的兒子示每出來對著大衛破口大罵，還朝大衛和他的臣僕扔石頭，無視大衛身邊的眾多部下和勇士。示每罵大衛：「滾吧！滾吧！你這個殺人兇手，你這個敗類！你殺掃羅的家人，奪其王位，耶和華報應了你，把江山交給了你兒子押沙龍。你這殺人兇手是自食惡果！」洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩對王說：「這死狗竟敢辱罵我主我王，讓我過去砍掉他的頭！」

押沙龍在耶路撒冷住了兩年，沒有跟王見過面。

王說：「讓押沙龍回自己的家，不要讓他來見我！」押沙龍便返回自己家中，沒有朝見王。

王坐在寶座上審判，他的眼目明察罪惡。
