‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered.

‘ The Lord says,“ Do not go up to fight against the Israelites. They are your relatives. I want every one of you to go back home. Things have happened exactly the way I planned them.” ’ ” So the fighting men obeyed the Lord’ s message. They went home again, just as he had ordered.

‘ Thus says the Lord, You shall not go up or fight against your relatives the people of Israel. Every man return to his home, for this thing is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the Lord and went home again, according to the word of the Lord.

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives, the Israelites. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and went home, as the Lord had commanded.

‘ This is what the LORD says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you return home, for this situation is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the LORD and went back according to the word of the LORD.

‘ This is what the Lord says:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your relatives the sons of Israel; return, every man to his house, for this thing has come from Me.” ’ ” So they listened to the word of the Lord, and returned to go their way in accordance with the word of the Lord.

‘ Thus says the Lord:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel. Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me.”’” Therefore they obeyed the word of the Lord, and turned back, according to the word of the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is of me. So they hearkened unto the word of Jehovah, and returned and went their way, according to the word of Jehovah.

‘ This is what the Lord says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you must return home, for I have done this.’” So they listened to what the Lord said and went back as He had told them.

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.

‘ The LORD says this:“ Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” They obeyed the LORD and went home as the LORD had ordered them to do.

‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not go up or fight against your brothers, the children of Israel. Everyone return to his house; for this thing is from me.”’” So they listened to Yahweh’s word, and returned and went their way, according to Yahweh’s word.

但那裏有永恆主的一個神言人名叫俄德、出來迎接那到撒瑪利亞來的軍隊，對他們說：『只因永恆主你們列祖的上帝惱怒了猶大人，他才將他們交在你們手裏，你們竟怒氣沖天，殺戮了他們。如今你們又心裏說要強迫猶大人和耶路撒冷人做你們的奴隸和婢女。這不是連你們也實實在在有得罪永恆主你們的上帝的罪麼？現在你們要聽我的話：要將你們從族弟兄中所擄來的俘虜釋放回去，因為永恆主已向你們大發烈怒了。』於是以法蓮人之中幾個為首的人、約哈難的兒子亞撒利雅、米實利未的兒子比利家、沙龍的兒子耶希西家、哈得萊的兒子亞瑪撒、起來攔阻那從戰陣中回來的人，對他們說：『你們不要將俘虜帶進這裏來，因為我們已得罪了永恆主了，你們心裏還說要增加我們的罪和過犯。我們的罪過實在夠大了；已經有永恆主的烈怒臨到以色列人了。』於是武裝的人將俘虜和掠物都放在首領們和全體大眾面前。以上記名的那些人就站起來，拉着那些俘虜和他們中間所有赤身裸體的人，從掠物中拿出衣服來給他們穿，鞋給他們着，又給他們喫，給他們喝，用油抹了他們；使一切走不動的人騎上了驢，把他們送到棕樹城耶利哥、他們族弟兄身邊，然後回撒瑪利亞去。

「永恆主這麼說：你們不可上去，不可同你們的族弟兄交戰。各歸各家去吧；因為這事是出於我的。」』眾民聽從永恆主的話就回家，不去攻擊耶羅波安了。

有一個神人來見亞瑪謝，說：『王啊，不要使以色列軍隊和你一同去，因為永恆主不和以色列人任何以法蓮子孫同在。但你如果想要這樣加強自己以爭戰，上帝總會使你顛躓在敵人面前的；因為上帝有能力幫助人，也有能力使人顛躓。』

他們立了王，但不是由我立的；他們立了首領，卻不是我承認的。他們用他們的銀子或金子、為自己造了偶像，好讓自己被剪除。

有一次、耶羅波安從耶路撒冷出來，示羅人亞希雅神言人在路上遇見了他；亞希雅身上穿着一件新衣裳；他們二人在野地上，以外並沒有別人。亞希雅一把抓住自己身上的新衣裳，就撕成十二片；對耶羅波安說：『你拿十片去；因為永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：「看吧，我必從所羅門手裏將國撕裂開來、將十個族派賜給你。（只因我僕人大衛的緣故、和我從以色列眾族派中所選擇的耶路撒冷城的緣故、所羅門仍然要有一個族派）因為他離棄了我，去敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯他錄、摩押的神基抹、和亞捫人的神米勒公，沒有走我的路，而行我所看為對的事，沒有像他父親大衛一樣守我的律例和典章。但我不是要將全國都從他手裏取回；我乃是要使他儘他活着的日子做人君；這是因着我所揀選的、我的僕人大衛、的緣故，因為他謹守我的誡命律例；我乃是要從他兒子手裏將王位取回，將十個族派賜給你，把一個族派給他兒子，好使我的僕人大衛在耶路撒冷、我所選擇做立我名的城裏、在我面前、日日不斷地有燈光。我要選取的乃是你，使你盡心之所願掌王權，作王管理以色列。將來你若聽我所吩咐你的，走我的路，行我所看為對的事，謹守我的律例誡命，像我僕人大衛所行的，那麼我就與你同在，為你建立堅固的王室，像我為大衛建立的一樣，將以色列賜給你。
