大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。

大卫王就站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你们当听我言，我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我神的脚凳；我已经预备建造的材料。

大衛王立而言曰、我昆弟、我民歟、其聽我言、我有意建室、安置耶和華之約匱、而為我上帝之足几、已備具以待建造、

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it.

King David stood up. He said,“ All of you Israelites, listen to me. With all my heart I wanted to build a house for the Lord. I wanted it to be a place of peace and rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord. The ark is the stool for our God’s feet. I made plans to build the Lord’ s house.

Then King David rose to his feet and said:“ Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building.

David rose to his feet and said:“ My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a Temple where the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, God’s footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the LORD’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.

Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

耶和華曰、天乃我坐位、地乃我足凳、爾曹何殿以容我、何地以安我乎。

我之上帝耶和華至聖、爾當高其品評、涖彼駐蹕之所、崇拜之兮、

大闢坐於宮時、謂先知拿單曰、我居之宮以柏香木創造、而耶和華法匱、反在幔中。拿單告大闢曰、上帝祐爾、任意以行。

主怒郇邑、愁雲慘淡、以色列雖榮光焜耀、若躋穹蒼、必下墮於地兮、雖為駐蹕之所、亦所弗惜兮。

心勿驕奢、藐視同儕、勿違誡命、勿偏於左、勿偏於右、則可享遐齡、爰及子孫、於以色列族中。

此我駐蹕之所、我所欣喜、永世弗替兮。

王之臣僕、祝我主大闢王時、皆言願上帝以所羅門之名、較王名尤尊、其國較王國尤大。王聞是言、伏床而拜上帝。

異邦人之居於以色列地者、大闢招之咸集、選石工雕石、以建上帝之殿。大闢備鐵甚多、供門樞榱桷之用、又備銅不可勝數。備柏香木無算、蓋西頓人自推羅多運柏香木而至。大闢曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、必為耶和華建殿、矞皇顯麗、萬國播揚、我必為之備。於是大闢存日、預備之物、不可悉數、

潔之者與受潔者、同出於一、故視若兄弟、不以為恥、其言曰、吾播父名於兄弟間、頌爾於會中、

哈大底泄僕眾、各執金盾、大闢奪之、攜至耶路撒冷。底巴及郡二邑、屬於哈大底泄、大闢取其銅、不可勝數、後為所羅門造銅盤、銅器、及柱。○昔哈末王陀以與哈大底泄戰、今聞大闢擊鎖巴王哈大底泄之軍、則遣子哈多蘭攜金銀銅器、往見大闢王、慶賀而祝之。

則必以爾上帝耶和華所簡者、立之為王、必爾同儕、不取外族、

我父大闢意欲建殿、奉事以色列族之上帝耶和華、以籲其名。耶和華諭之曰、爾意欲建殿、為籲我名之所、此舉甚善。

王坐於宮庭、蒙耶和華錫以綏安、不為四周之敵所害。諭先知拿單曰、我居之宮、以柏香木創造、而上帝之匱、反在幔中。

法匱既定其所、大闢使斯眾謳歌、供其役事、在耶和華殿、

故我播爾名於兄弟間、頌爾於會中兮、

主曰、天乃我坐位、地乃我足凳、爾曹何殿以容我何地以安我乎、

云、我不入室家、不登床榻兮、維余之目不遑假寐、不暇合膜兮、惟俟雅各有能之主耶和華得駐蹕之所兮。斯言也、我在以法大聞之、在雅耳田遇之兮、我儕當入主帷幕、涖駐蹕之所、而崇拜之兮、耶和華兮、勃然而興、使尊榮之法匱、安置有所兮。

我在患難中、曾為耶和華之殿、備金一萬五千萬兩、銀十五萬萬兩、銅鐵甚多、不能權其輕重、木石我曾備之、爾益其數。

以色列族眾、集於希伯崙、見大闢曰、我儕與爾誼屬同宗。昔掃羅為王、治理我儕、爾導以色列族出入、爾之上帝耶和華云、爾必牧以色列族、為我民之長。以色列族長老、既至希伯崙、覲王大闢、於耶和華前、與之立約、長老以膏沐大闢、立為以色列族王、循耶和華命撒母耳之言。
