What can David say yet more unto thee concerning the honor which is done to thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.

What more can David say to you? You have honored your servant; you have given your servant special recognition.

O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known[ me].

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for[ the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord GOD, knowest thy servant.For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know[ them].Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for[ there is] none like thee, neither[ is there any] God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.And what one nation in the earth[ is] like thy people,[ even] like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt,[ from] the nations and their gods?For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel[ to be] a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed[ that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
