So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of units of a thousand went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed-Edom, with rejoicing.

有人告诉大卫王说：“耶和华因为约柜赐福给俄别以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜地将神的约柜从俄别以东家中抬到大卫的城里。抬耶和华约柜的人走了六步，大卫就献牛与肥羊为祭。大卫穿着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前极力跳舞。这样，大卫和以色列的全家欢呼吹角，将耶和华的约柜抬上来。耶和华的约柜进了大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户里观看，见大卫王在耶和华面前踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。众人将耶和华的约柜请进去，安放在所预备的地方，就是在大卫所搭的帐幕里。大卫在耶和华面前献燔祭和平安祭。大卫献完了燔祭和平安祭，就奉万军之耶和华的名给民祝福，并且分给以色列众人，无论男女，每人一个饼，一块肉，一个葡萄饼；众人就各回各家去了。大卫回家要给眷属祝福；扫罗的女儿米甲出来迎接他，说：“以色列王今日在臣仆的婢女眼前露体，如同一个轻贱人无耻露体一样，有好大的荣耀啊！”大卫对米甲说：“这是在耶和华面前；耶和华已拣选我，废了你父和你父的全家，立我作耶和华民以色列的君，所以我必在耶和华面前跳舞。我也必更加卑微，自己看为轻贱。你所说的那些婢女，她们倒要尊敬我。”扫罗的女儿米甲，直到死日，没有生养儿女。

又派他们作千夫长、五十夫长，为他耕种田地，收割庄稼，打造军器和车上的器械；

摩西向打仗回来的军长，就是千夫长、百夫长，发怒，

你们要靠主常常喜乐。我再说，你们要喜乐。

犹大人和耶路撒冷人都欢欢喜喜地回耶路撒冷，约沙法率领他们；因为耶和华使他们战胜仇敌，就欢喜快乐。他们弹琴、鼓瑟、吹号来到耶路撒冷，进了耶和华的殿。

那时，所罗门将以色列的长老和各支派的首领，并以色列的族长，招聚到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜，从大卫城就是锡安运上来。

因为真受割礼的，乃是我们这以神的灵敬拜、在基督耶稣里夸口、不靠着肉体的。

你们今日却厌弃了救你们脱离一切灾难的神，说：‘求你立一个王治理我们。’现在你们应当按着支派、宗族都站在耶和华面前。”

大卫因耶和华击杀乌撒，心里愁烦，就称那地方为毗列斯乌撒，直到今日。那日，大卫惧怕神，说：“神的约柜怎可运到我这里来？”于是大卫不将约柜运进大卫的城，却运到迦特人俄别以东的家中。神的约柜在俄别以东家中三个月，耶和华赐福给俄别以东的家和他一切所有的。

你和你儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，以及在你们中间寄居的与孤儿寡妇，都要在耶和华你神所选择立为他名的居所，在耶和华你的神面前欢乐。

我便将你们各支派的首领，有智慧、为众人所认识的，照你们的支派，立他们为官长、千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长，管理你们。

伯利恒以法他啊，你在犹大诸城中为小，将来必有一位从你那里出来，在以色列中为我作掌权的；他的根源从亘古，从太初就有。

就对左右侍立的臣仆说：“便雅悯人哪，你们要听我的话！耶西的儿子能将田地和葡萄园赐给你们各人吗？能立你们各人作千夫长百夫长吗？

在那里，耶和华你们神的面前，你们和你们的家属都可以吃，并且因你手所办的一切事蒙耶和华你的神赐福，就都欢乐。

来啊，我们要向耶和华歌唱，向拯救我们的磐石欢呼！我们要来感谢他，用诗歌向他欢呼！

普天下当向耶和华欢呼！你们当乐意侍奉耶和华，当来向他歌唱！

以色列的祭司和利未人，并其余被掳归回的人都欢欢喜喜地行奉献神殿的礼。

在耶和华所选择的地方，你当向耶和华你的神守节七日；因为耶和华你神在你一切的土产上和你手里所办的事上要赐福与你，你就非常地欢乐。

但要在耶和华你的神面前吃，在耶和华你神所要选择的地方，你和儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，都可以吃；也要因你手所办的，在耶和华你神面前欢乐。
