  • Job 36:31 - By these mighty acts he nourishes the people, giving them food in abundance.
  • 1 Kings 18:41 - Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!”
  • 1 Kings 18:42 - So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.
  • 1 Kings 18:43 - Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look.
  • 1 Kings 18:44 - Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”
  • 1 Kings 18:45 - And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel.
  • John 16:23 - At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name.

  • Job 37:4 - Then comes the roaring of the thunder— the tremendous voice of his majesty. He does not restrain it when he speaks.
  • Job 37:5 - God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power.
  • Job 37:6 - “He directs the snow to fall on the earth and tells the rain to pour down.
  • Joel 2:23 - Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem! Rejoice in the Lord your God! For the rain he sends demonstrates his faithfulness. Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring.
  • Joel 2:24 - The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain, and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil.

  • Jeremiah 14:22 - Can any of the worthless foreign gods send us rain? Does it fall from the sky by itself? No, you are the one, O Lord our God! Only you can do such things. So we will wait for you to help us.
  • Isaiah 30:23 - Then the Lord will bless you with rain at planting time. There will be wonderful harvests and plenty of pastureland for your livestock.
  • Isaiah 44:3 - For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.
  • James 5:7 - Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.
  • James 5:16 - Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
  • James 5:17 - Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!
  • James 5:18 - Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.
