  • 1 Peter 1:12 - It was made known to the prophets that they were not serving themselves. Instead, they were serving you when they spoke about the things that you have now heard. Those who have preached the good news to you have told you these things. They have done it with the help of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.
  • Acts 13:26 - “Listen, fellow children of Abraham! Listen, you Gentiles who worship God! This message of salvation has been sent to us.
  • Isaiah 57:19 - Then they will praise me. I will give perfect peace to those who are far away and those who are near. And I will heal them,” says the Lord.
  • Jeremiah 23:32 - I am against prophets who talk about dreams that did not come from me,” announces the Lord. “They tell foolish lies. Their lies lead my people astray. But I did not send these prophets. I did not appoint them. They do not help my people in the least,” announces the Lord.
  • Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord and King is on me. The Lord has anointed me to announce good news to poor people. He has sent me to comfort those whose hearts have been broken. He has sent me to announce freedom for those who have been captured. He wants me to set prisoners free from their dark cells.
  • Isaiah 40:9 - Zion, you are bringing good news to your people. Go up on a high mountain and announce it. Jerusalem, you are bringing good news to them. Shout the message loudly. Shout it out loud. Don’t be afraid. Say to the towns of Judah, “Your God is coming!”
  • Ephesians 3:8 - I am by far the least important of all the Lord’s holy people. But he gave me the grace to preach to the Gentiles about the unlimited riches that Christ gives.
  • Matthew 28:18 - Then Jesus came to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

  • Ephesians 4:11 - So Christ himself gave the gift of the apostles to the church. He gave the prophets and those who preach the good news. And he also gave the pastors and teachers as a gift to the church.
  • Ephesians 4:12 - He gave all these people so that they might prepare God’s people to serve. Then the body of Christ will be built up.
  • Ephesians 6:15 - Wear on your feet what will prepare you to tell the good news of peace.
  • Ephesians 2:17 - He came and preached peace to you who were far away. He also preached peace to those who were near.
  • Nahum 1:15 - Look at the mountains of Judah! I see a messenger running to bring good news! He’s telling us that peace has come! People of Judah, celebrate your feasts. Carry out your promises. The evil Assyrians won’t attack you again. They’ll be completely destroyed.
  • Isaiah 52:7 - What a beautiful sight it is to see messengers coming with good news! How beautiful to see them coming down from the mountains with a message about peace! How wonderful it is when they bring the good news that we are saved! How wonderful when they say to Zion, “Your God rules!”
