2 Chronicles 28:9 - But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army that was returning to Samaria and said to them, “Behold, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, He handed them over to you; but you have killed them in a rage that has reached as far as heaven.
2 Chronicles 28:10 - And now you intend to subjugate the people of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves. But are you yourselves not guilty of transgressions against the Lord your God?
2 Chronicles 28:11 - Now therefore, hear me and return the captives whom you have captured from your brothers (fellow descendants of Israel, i.e. Jacob), for the burning anger of the Lord is against you.”
2 Chronicles 28:12 - Then some of the heads of the Ephraimites (Israel)—Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai—took a stand against those who were returning from the battle,
2 Chronicles 28:13 - and said to them, “You must not bring the captives in here; for we are guilty before the Lord already, and what you intend to do will add more to our sins and our guilt. For our guilt is so great that His burning anger is against Israel.”
Psalms 82:1 - God stands in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods (divine beings).
Psalms 82:2 - How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah.
Psalms 82:3 - Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice and maintain the rights of the afflicted and destitute.
Psalms 82:4 - Rescue the weak and needy; Rescue them from the hand of the wicked.
Ezekiel 22:12 - In you they have accepted bribes to shed blood; you have taken [forbidden] interest and [a percentage of] profits, and you have injured your neighbors for gain by oppression and extortion, and you have forgotten Me,” says the Lord God.
Deuteronomy 15:2 - This is the regulation for the release: every creditor shall forgive what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not require repayment from his neighbor and his brother, because the Lord’s release has been proclaimed.
Deuteronomy 15:3 - You may require repayment from a foreigner, but whatever of yours is with your brother [Israelite] your hand shall release.
Psalms 15:5 - He does not put out his money at interest [to a fellow Israelite], And does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.
Deuteronomy 24:10 - “When you lend your neighbor anything, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge (security deposit).
Deuteronomy 24:11 - You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge out to you.
Deuteronomy 24:12 - If the man is poor, you shall not keep his pledge overnight.
Deuteronomy 24:13 - You shall certainly restore the pledge (security deposit) to him at sunset, so that he may sleep in his garment and bless you; and it will be credited to you as righteousness (right standing) before the Lord your God.
2 Chronicles 19:6 - and he said to the judges, “Be careful what you do, for you do not judge for man, but for the Lord who is with you in the matter of judgment.
2 Chronicles 19:7 - So now let the fear (reverent awe) of the Lord be on you [to keep you from making unjust decisions]; be careful in what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality, or acceptance of a bribe.”
Leviticus 19:15 - ‘You shall not do injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor show a preference for the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.
Deuteronomy 23:19 - “You shall not charge interest to your fellow Israelite—interest on money, food or anything that may be loaned for interest.
Deuteronomy 23:20 - You may charge interest to a foreigner, but to your fellow Israelite you shall not charge interest, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are about to enter to possess.
Leviticus 25:36 - Do not charge him usurious interest, but fear your God [with profound reverence], so your countryman may [continue to] live among you.
Exodus 22:25 - “If you lend money to any one of My people with you who is poor, you shall not act as a creditor (professional moneylender) to him; you shall not charge him interest.
