  • Psalms 22:25 - I will praise you in the great assembly. I will fulfill my vows in the presence of those who worship you.
  • Psalms 22:26 - The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
  • Psalms 22:27 - The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to him. All the families of the nations will bow down before him.
  • Psalms 22:28 - For royal power belongs to the Lord. He rules all the nations.
  • Psalms 22:29 - Let the rich of the earth feast and worship. Bow before him, all who are mortal, all whose lives will end as dust.
  • Psalms 22:30 - Our children will also serve him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.
  • Psalms 22:31 - His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything he has done.
  • Psalms 69:1 - Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck.
  • Psalms 69:2 - Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire; I can’t find a foothold. I am in deep water, and the floods overwhelm me.
  • Psalms 69:3 - I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.
  • Psalms 69:4 - Those who hate me without cause outnumber the hairs on my head. Many enemies try to destroy me with lies, demanding that I give back what I didn’t steal.
  • Psalms 69:5 - O God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you.
  • Psalms 69:6 - Don’t let those who trust in you be ashamed because of me, O Sovereign Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Don’t let me cause them to be humiliated, O God of Israel.
  • Psalms 69:7 - For I endure insults for your sake; humiliation is written all over my face.
  • Psalms 69:8 - Even my own brothers pretend they don’t know me; they treat me like a stranger.
  • Psalms 69:9 - Passion for your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.
  • Psalms 69:10 - When I weep and fast, they scoff at me.
  • Psalms 69:11 - When I dress in burlap to show sorrow, they make fun of me.
  • Psalms 69:12 - I am the favorite topic of town gossip, and all the drunks sing about me.
  • Psalms 69:13 - But I keep praying to you, Lord, hoping this time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.
  • Psalms 69:14 - Rescue me from the mud; don’t let me sink any deeper! Save me from those who hate me, and pull me from these deep waters.
  • Psalms 69:15 - Don’t let the floods overwhelm me, or the deep waters swallow me, or the pit of death devour me.
  • Psalms 69:16 - Answer my prayers, O Lord, for your unfailing love is wonderful. Take care of me, for your mercy is so plentiful.
  • Psalms 69:17 - Don’t hide from your servant; answer me quickly, for I am in deep trouble!
  • Psalms 69:18 - Come and redeem me; free me from my enemies.
  • Psalms 69:19 - You know of my shame, scorn, and disgrace. You see all that my enemies are doing.
  • Psalms 69:20 - Their insults have broken my heart, and I am in despair. If only one person would show some pity; if only one would turn and comfort me.
  • Psalms 69:21 - But instead, they give me poison for food; they offer me sour wine for my thirst.
  • Psalms 69:22 - Let the bountiful table set before them become a snare and their prosperity become a trap.
  • Psalms 69:23 - Let their eyes go blind so they cannot see, and make their bodies shake continually.
  • Psalms 69:24 - Pour out your fury on them; consume them with your burning anger.
  • Psalms 69:25 - Let their homes become desolate and their tents be deserted.
  • Psalms 69:26 - To the one you have punished, they add insult to injury; they add to the pain of those you have hurt.
  • Psalms 69:27 - Pile their sins up high, and don’t let them go free.
  • Psalms 69:28 - Erase their names from the Book of Life; don’t let them be counted among the righteous.
  • Psalms 69:29 - I am suffering and in pain. Rescue me, O God, by your saving power.
  • Psalms 69:30 - Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving.
  • Psalms 69:31 - For this will please the Lord more than sacrificing cattle, more than presenting a bull with its horns and hooves.
  • Psalms 69:32 - The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.
  • Psalms 69:33 - For the Lord hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people.
  • Psalms 69:34 - Praise him, O heaven and earth, the seas and all that move in them.
  • Psalms 69:35 - For God will save Jerusalem and rebuild the towns of Judah. His people will live there and settle in their own land.
  • Psalms 69:36 - The descendants of those who obey him will inherit the land, and those who love him will live there in safety.
  • Daniel 9:24 - “A period of seventy sets of seven has been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
  • Daniel 9:25 - Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler—the Anointed One —comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times.
  • Daniel 9:26 - “After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end.
  • Isaiah 53:1 - Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?
  • Isaiah 53:2 - My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him.
  • Isaiah 53:3 - He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
  • Isaiah 53:4 - Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!
  • Isaiah 53:5 - But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
  • Isaiah 53:6 - All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
  • Isaiah 53:7 - He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.
  • Isaiah 53:8 - Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people.
  • Isaiah 53:9 - He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave.
  • Isaiah 53:10 - But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.
  • Isaiah 53:11 - When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.
  • Isaiah 53:12 - I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.
  • Luke 24:44 - Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
  • Luke 24:45 - Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
  • Luke 24:46 - And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.
  • John 10:35 - And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So if those people who received God’s message were called ‘gods,’
  • Acts of the Apostles 1:16 - “Brothers,” he said, “the Scriptures had to be fulfilled concerning Judas, who guided those who arrested Jesus. This was predicted long ago by the Holy Spirit, speaking through King David.
  • Luke 24:25 - Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.
  • Luke 24:26 - Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?”
  • Zechariah 13:7 - “Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, the man who is my partner,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Strike down the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn against the lambs.
  • Matthew 26:24 - For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!”
