Salmo 69:2 - Me estoy hundiendo en una ciénaga profunda, y no tengo dónde apoyar el pie. Estoy en medio de profundas aguas, y me arrastra la corriente.
Salmo 69:3 - Cansado estoy de pedir ayuda; tengo reseca la garganta. Mis ojos languidecen, esperando la ayuda de mi Dios.
Juan 18:1 - Cuando Jesús terminó de orar, salió con sus discípulos y cruzó el arroyo de Cedrón. Al otro lado había un huerto en el que entró con sus discípulos.
Juan 18:2 - También Judas, el que lo traicionaba, conocía aquel lugar, porque muchas veces Jesús se había reunido allí con sus discípulos.
Juan 18:3 - Así que Judas llegó al huerto, a la cabeza de un destacamento de soldados y guardias de los jefes de los sacerdotes y de los fariseos. Llevaban antorchas, lámparas y armas.
Juan 18:4 - Jesús, que sabía todo lo que le iba a suceder, les salió al encuentro. —¿A quién buscan? —les preguntó.
Juan 18:5 - —A Jesús de Nazaret —contestaron. —Yo soy. Judas, el traidor, estaba con ellos.
Juan 18:6 - Cuando Jesús les dijo: «Yo soy», dieron un paso atrás y se desplomaron.
Juan 18:7 - —¿A quién buscan? —volvió a preguntarles Jesús. —A Jesús de Nazaret —repitieron.
Juan 18:8 - —Ya les dije que yo soy. Si es a mí a quien buscan, dejen que estos se vayan.
Juan 18:9 - Esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que había dicho: «De los que me diste ninguno se perdió».
Juan 18:10 - Simón Pedro, que tenía una espada, la desenfundó e hirió al siervo del sumo sacerdote, cortándole la oreja derecha. (El siervo se llamaba Malco).
Juan 18:11 - —¡Vuelve esa espada a su funda! —le ordenó Jesús a Pedro—. ¿Acaso no he de beber el trago amargo que el Padre me da a beber?
Salmo 22:1 - Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado? Lejos estás para salvarme, lejos de mis palabras de lamento.
Salmo 22:2 - Dios mío, clamo de día y no me respondes; clamo de noche y no hallo reposo.
Hebreos 5:7 - En los días de su vida mortal, Jesús ofreció oraciones y súplicas con fuerte clamor y lágrimas al que podía salvarlo de la muerte, y fue escuchado por su reverente sumisión.
Salmo 69:13 - Pero yo, Señor, te imploro en el tiempo de tu buena voluntad. Por tu gran amor, oh Dios, respóndeme; por tu fidelidad, sálvame.
Salmo 69:14 - Sácame del fango; no permitas que me hunda. Líbrame de los que me odian, y de las aguas profundas.
Salmo 69:15 - No dejes que me arrastre la corriente; no permitas que me trague el abismo, ni que el foso cierre sus fauces sobre mí.
Lucas 22:39 - Jesús salió de la ciudad y, como de costumbre, se dirigió al monte de los Olivos, y sus discípulos lo siguieron.
Lucas 22:40 - Cuando llegaron al lugar, les dijo: «Oren para que no caigan en tentación».
Lucas 22:41 - Entonces se separó de ellos a una buena distancia, se arrodilló y empezó a orar:
Lucas 22:42 - «Padre, si quieres, no me hagas beber este trago amargo; pero no se cumpla mi voluntad, sino la tuya».
Lucas 22:43 - Entonces se le apareció un ángel del cielo para fortalecerlo.
Lucas 22:44 - Pero, como estaba angustiado, se puso a orar con más fervor, y su sudor era como gotas de sangre que caían a tierra.
Lucas 22:45 - Cuando terminó de orar y volvió a los discípulos, los encontró dormidos, agotados por la tristeza.
Lucas 22:46 - «¿Por qué están durmiendo? —les exhortó—. Levántense y oren para que no caigan en tentación».
Mateo 26:42 - Por segunda vez se retiró y oró: «Padre mío, si no es posible evitar que yo beba este trago amargo, hágase tu voluntad».
Mateo 26:39 - Yendo un poco más allá, se postró sobre su rostro y oró: «Padre mío, si es posible, no me hagas beber este trago amargo. Pero no sea lo que yo quiero, sino lo que quieres tú».
