- Deuteronomy 28:55 - so that he will not give even one of them any of the flesh of his children which he will eat, since he has nothing else left, during the siege and the hardship by which your enemy will oppress you in all your towns.
- Deuteronomy 28:56 - The refined and delicate woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because of her delicateness and tenderness, will be hostile toward the husband she cherishes and toward her son and daughter,
- Deuteronomy 28:57 - and toward her afterbirth that comes from between her legs, and toward her children to whom she gives birth, because she will eat them secretly for lack of anything else, during the siege and the hardship with which your enemy will oppress you in your towns.
- Deuteronomy 28:58 - “If you are not careful to follow all the words of this Law that are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God,
- Deuteronomy 28:59 - then the Lord will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses.
- Deuteronomy 28:60 - And He will bring back on you every disease of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they will cling to you.
- Deuteronomy 28:61 - Also every sickness and every plague, which are not written in the book of this Law, the Lord will bring on you until you are destroyed.
- Deuteronomy 28:62 - Then you will be left few in number, whereas you were as numerous as the stars of heaven, because you did not obey the Lord your God.
- Deuteronomy 28:63 - And it will come about that, just as the Lord rejoiced over you to be good to you, and make you numerous, so will the Lord rejoice over you to wipe you out and destroy you; and you will be torn away from the land which you are entering to possess.
- Deuteronomy 28:64 - Furthermore, the Lord will scatter you among all the peoples, from one end of the earth to the other; and there you will serve other gods, made of wood and stone, which you and your fathers have not known.
- Deuteronomy 28:65 - Among those nations you will find no peace, and there will be no resting place for the sole of your foot; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and despair of soul.
- Deuteronomy 28:66 - So your lives will be hanging in doubt before you; and you will be terrified night and day, and have no assurance of your life.
- Deuteronomy 28:67 - In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were evening!’ And at evening you will say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the terror of your heart which you fear, and the sight of your eyes which you will see.
- Deuteronomy 28:68 - And the Lord will bring you back to Egypt in ships, by the way about which I said to you, ‘You will never see it again!’ And there you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.”
- Leviticus 26:14 - ‘But if you do not obey Me and do not carry out all these commandments,
- Leviticus 26:15 - if, instead, you reject My statutes, and if your soul loathes My ordinances so as not to carry out all My commandments, but rather to break My covenant,
- Leviticus 26:16 - I, in turn, will do this to you: I will summon a sudden terror against you, consumption and fever that will make the eyes fail and the soul languish; also, you will sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies will eat it.
- Leviticus 26:17 - And I will set My face against you so that you will be defeated before your enemies; and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one is pursuing you.
- Leviticus 26:18 - If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
- Leviticus 26:19 - I will also break down your pride of power; and I will make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze.
- Leviticus 26:20 - Your strength will be consumed uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.
- Leviticus 26:21 - ‘Yet if you show hostility toward Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins.
- Leviticus 26:22 - I will also let loose among you the animals of the field, which will deprive you of your children and eliminate your cattle, and reduce your number so that your roads become deserted.
- Leviticus 26:23 - ‘And if by these things you do not learn your lesson regarding Me, but you show hostility toward Me,
- Leviticus 26:24 - then I in turn will show hostility toward you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.
- Leviticus 26:25 - I will also bring upon you a sword which will execute vengeance for the covenant; and when you gather together into your cities, I will send a plague among you, so that you will be handed over to the enemy.
- Leviticus 26:26 - When I break your staff of bread, ten women will bake your bread in one oven, and they will bring back your bread in rationed amounts, so that you will eat and not be satisfied.
- Leviticus 26:27 - ‘Yet if in spite of this you do not obey Me, but act with hostility against Me,
- Leviticus 26:28 - then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I for My part will punish you seven times for your sins.
- Leviticus 26:29 - Further, you will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.
- Leviticus 26:30 - I then will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and pile your remains on the remains of your idols, for My soul will loathe you.
- Leviticus 26:31 - I will turn your cities into ruins as well and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your soothing aromas.
- Leviticus 26:32 - And I will make the land desolate so that your enemies who settle in it will be appalled at it.
- Leviticus 26:33 - You, however, I will scatter among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become ruins.
- Leviticus 26:34 - ‘Then the land will restore its Sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land will rest and restore its Sabbaths.
- Leviticus 26:35 - All the days of its desolation it will have the rest which it did not have on your Sabbaths, while you were living on it.
- Leviticus 26:36 - As for those among you who are left, I will also bring despair into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a scattered leaf will chase them, and even when no one is pursuing they will flee as though from the sword, and they will fall.
- Leviticus 26:37 - They will then stumble over each other as if running from the sword, although no one is pursuing; and you will have no strength to stand before your enemies.
- Leviticus 26:38 - Instead, you will perish among the nations, and your enemies’ land will consume you.
- Leviticus 26:39 - So those of you who may be left will rot away because of their wrongdoing in the lands of your enemies; and also because of the wrongdoing of their forefathers they will rot away with them.
- Leviticus 26:40 - ‘But if they confess their wrongdoing and the wrongdoing of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me—
- Leviticus 26:41 - I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies—or if their uncircumcised heart is humbled so that they then make amends for their wrongdoing,
- Leviticus 26:42 - then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.
- Leviticus 26:43 - For the land will be abandoned by them, and will restore its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them. They, meanwhile, will be making amends for their wrongdoing, because they rejected My ordinances and their soul loathed My statutes.
- Leviticus 26:44 - Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so loathe them as to destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.
- Leviticus 26:45 - But I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, so that I might be their God. I am the Lord.’ ”
- Leviticus 26:46 - These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which the Lord established between Himself and the sons of Israel through Moses on Mount Sinai.
- Jeremiah 19:7 - And I will frustrate the planning of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their life; and I will make their carcasses food for the birds of the sky and the animals of the earth.
- Jeremiah 19:8 - I will also turn this city into an object of horror and hissing; everyone who passes by it will be appalled and hiss because of all its disasters.

- Jeremiah 19:11 - and say to them, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “To the same extent I will break this people and this city, just as one breaks a potter’s vessel, which cannot again be repaired; and they will bury their dead in Topheth, because there is no other place for burial.
- Jeremiah 19:12 - This is how I will treat this place and its inhabitants,” declares the Lord, “so as to make this city like Topheth.
- Jeremiah 19:13 - The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will be defiled like the place Topheth, because of all the houses on whose rooftops they burned sacrifices to all the heavenly lights and poured out drink offerings to other gods.” ’ ”
- Deuteronomy 31:20 - For when I bring them into the land flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to their fathers, and they eat and are satisfied and become prosperous, then they will turn to other gods and serve them, and spurn Me and break My covenant.
- Deuteronomy 31:21 - Then it will come about, when many evils and troubles find them, that this song will testify before them as a witness (for it shall not be forgotten from the mouth of their descendants); for I know their inclination which they are developing today, before I bring them into the land which I swore.”

- Jeremiah 21:7 - Then afterward,” declares the Lord, “I will hand Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, that is, those who survive in this city from the plague, the sword, and the famine, over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to their enemies, and to those who seek their lives; and he will strike and kill them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion.” ’
- Jeremiah 21:8 - “You shall also say to this people, ‘This is what the Lord says: “Behold, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.
- Jeremiah 21:9 - Anyone who stays in this city will die by the sword, by famine, or by plague; but anyone who leaves and goes over to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as plunder.
- Jeremiah 21:10 - For I have set My face against this city for harm and not for good,” declares the Lord. “It will be handed over to the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.” ’
- Micah 3:12 - Therefore on account of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, And the mountain of the temple will become high places of a forest.
- Jeremiah 7:26 - Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers.
