  • Isaiah 34:15 - There shall the dart-snake make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shade; yea, there shall the kites be gathered, every one with her mate.
  • Isaiah 34:16 - Seek ye out of the book of Jehovah, and read: no one of these shall be missing, none shall want her mate; for my mouth, it hath commanded, and his Spirit, it hath gathered them.
  • Isaiah 34:17 - And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever; from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
  • Obadiah 1:18 - And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall burn among them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining to the house of Esau; for Jehovah hath spoken it.
  • Isaiah 15:1 - The burden of Moab. For in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nought; for in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nought.
  • Isaiah 15:2 - They are gone up to Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep: Moab waileth over Nebo, and over Medeba; on all their heads is baldness, every beard is cut off.
  • Isaiah 15:3 - In their streets they gird themselves with sackcloth; on their housetops, and in their broad places, every one waileth, weeping abundantly.
  • Isaiah 15:4 - And Heshbon crieth out, and Elealeh; their voice is heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud; his soul trembleth within him.
  • Isaiah 15:5 - My heart crieth out for Moab; her nobles flee unto Zoar, to Eglath-shelishi-yah: for by the ascent of Luhith with weeping they go up; for in the way of Horonaim they raise up a cry of destruction.
  • Isaiah 15:6 - For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate; for the grass is withered away, the tender grass faileth, there is no green thing.
  • Isaiah 15:7 - Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away over the brook of the willows.
  • Isaiah 15:8 - For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the wailing thereof unto Eglaim, and the wailing thereof unto Beer-elim.
  • Isaiah 15:9 - For the waters of Dimon are full of blood; for I will bring yet more upon Dimon, a lion upon them of Moab that escape, and upon the remnant of the land.
  • Malachi 1:2 - I have loved you, saith Jehovah. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith Jehovah: yet I loved Jacob;
  • Malachi 1:3 - but Esau I hated, and made his mountains a desolation, and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.
  • Malachi 1:4 - Whereas Edom saith, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places; thus saith Jehovah of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and men shall call them The border of wickedness, and The people against whom Jehovah hath indignation for ever.
  • Isaiah 63:1 - Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
  • Isaiah 63:2 - Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat?
  • Isaiah 63:3 - I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.
  • Isaiah 63:4 - For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
  • Isaiah 63:5 - And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my wrath, it upheld me.
  • Isaiah 63:6 - And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.
  • Jeremiah 27:3 - and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah:
  • Ezekiel 35:1 - Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
  • Ezekiel 35:2 - Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
  • Ezekiel 35:3 - and say unto it, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.
  • Ezekiel 35:4 - I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 35:5 - Because thou hast had a perpetual enmity, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;
  • Ezekiel 35:6 - therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: since thou hast not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.
  • Ezekiel 35:7 - Thus will I make mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation; and I will cut off from it him that passeth through and him that returneth.
  • Ezekiel 35:8 - And I will fill its mountains with its slain: in thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy watercourses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
  • Ezekiel 35:9 - I will make thee a perpetual desolation, and thy cities shall not be inhabited; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 35:10 - Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas Jehovah was there:
  • Ezekiel 35:11 - therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast showed out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.
  • Ezekiel 35:12 - And thou shalt know that I, Jehovah, have heard all thy revilings which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.
  • Ezekiel 35:13 - And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard it.
  • Ezekiel 35:14 - Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
  • Ezekiel 35:15 - As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:2 - Son of man, set thy face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:
  • Ezekiel 25:3 - and say unto the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:
  • Ezekiel 25:4 - therefore, behold, I will deliver thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
  • Ezekiel 25:5 - And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:6 - For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of thy soul against the land of Israel;
  • Ezekiel 25:7 - therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:8 - Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations;
  • Ezekiel 25:9 - therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,
  • Ezekiel 25:10 - unto the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations:
  • Ezekiel 25:11 - and I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:12 - Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
  • Ezekiel 25:13 - therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, I will stretch out my hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.
  • Ezekiel 25:14 - And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 32:29 - There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with them that are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.
  • Psalms 137:7 - Remember, O Jehovah, against the children of Edom The day of Jerusalem; Who said, Rase it, rase it, Even to the foundation thereof.
  • Jeremiah 9:26 - Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that have the corners of their hair cut off, that dwell in the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.
  • Jeremiah 48:1 - Of Moab. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe unto Nebo! for it is laid waste; Kiriathaim is put to shame, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and broken down.
  • Jeremiah 48:2 - The praise of Moab is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be brought to silence; the sword shall pursue thee.
  • Jeremiah 48:3 - The sound of a cry from Horonaim, desolation and great destruction!
  • Jeremiah 48:4 - Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
  • Jeremiah 48:5 - For by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping shall they go up; for at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction.
  • Jeremiah 48:6 - Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
  • Jeremiah 48:7 - For, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
  • Jeremiah 48:8 - And the destroyer shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed; as Jehovah hath spoken.
  • Jeremiah 48:9 - Give wings unto Moab, that she may fly and get her away: and her cities shall become a desolation, without any to dwell therein.
  • Jeremiah 48:10 - Cursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah negligently; and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
  • Jeremiah 48:11 - Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remaineth in him, and his scent is not changed.
  • Jeremiah 48:12 - Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him them that pour off, and they shall pour him off; and they shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles in pieces.
  • Jeremiah 48:13 - And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.
  • Jeremiah 48:14 - How say ye, We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war?
  • Jeremiah 48:15 - Moab is laid waste, and they are gone up into his cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.
  • Jeremiah 48:16 - The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
  • Jeremiah 48:17 - All ye that are round about him, bemoan him, and all ye that know his name; say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!
  • Jeremiah 48:18 - O thou daughter that dwellest in Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the destroyer of Moab is come up against thee, he hath destroyed thy strongholds.
  • Jeremiah 48:19 - O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and watch: ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say, What hath been done?
  • Jeremiah 48:20 - Moab is put to shame; for it is broken down: wail and cry; tell ye it by the Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.
  • Jeremiah 48:21 - And judgment is come upon the plain country, upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath,
  • Jeremiah 48:22 - and upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,
