Revelation 18:22 - The sound of harps, singers, flutes, and trumpets will never be heard in you again. No craftsmen and no trades will ever be found in you again. The sound of the mill will never be heard in you again.
Revelation 18:23 - The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The happy voices of brides and grooms will never be heard in you again. For your merchants were the greatest in the world, and you deceived the nations with your sorceries.
Revelation 18:24 - In your streets flowed the blood of the prophets and of God’s holy people and the blood of people slaughtered all over the world.”
Habakkuk 2:8 - Because you have plundered many nations, now all the survivors will plunder you. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence.
Habakkuk 2:9 - “What sorrow awaits you who build big houses with money gained dishonestly! You believe your wealth will buy security, putting your family’s nest beyond the reach of danger.
Habakkuk 2:10 - But by the murders you committed, you have shamed your name and forfeited your lives.
Habakkuk 2:11 - The very stones in the walls cry out against you, and the beams in the ceilings echo the complaint.
Habakkuk 2:12 - “What sorrow awaits you who build cities with money gained through murder and corruption!
Habakkuk 2:13 - Has not the Lord of Heaven’s Armies promised that the wealth of nations will turn to ashes? They work so hard, but all in vain!
Habakkuk 2:14 - For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.
Habakkuk 2:15 - “What sorrow awaits you who make your neighbors drunk! You force your cup on them so you can gloat over their shameful nakedness.
Habakkuk 2:16 - But soon it will be your turn to be disgraced. Come, drink and be exposed! Drink from the cup of the Lord’s judgment, and all your glory will be turned to shame.
Jeremiah 50:41 - “Look! A great army is coming from the north. A great nation and many kings are rising against you from far-off lands.
Jeremiah 50:9 - For I am raising up an army of great nations from the north. They will join forces to attack Babylon, and she will be captured. The enemies’ arrows will go straight to the mark; they will not miss!
Jeremiah 27:7 - All the nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until his time is up. Then many nations and great kings will conquer and rule over Babylon.
Jeremiah 51:6 - Flee from Babylon! Save yourselves! Don’t get trapped in her punishment! It is the Lord’s time for vengeance; he will repay her in full.
