Romans 11:16 - And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy—just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as an offering is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.
Romans 11:17 - But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.
Romans 11:18 - But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.
Romans 11:19 - “Well,” you may say, “those branches were broken off to make room for me.”
Romans 11:20 - Yes, but remember—those branches were broken off because they didn’t believe in Christ, and you are there because you do believe. So don’t think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen.
Romans 11:21 - For if God did not spare the original branches, he won’t spare you either.
Romans 11:22 - Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.
Acts of the Apostles 13:46 - Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared, “It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles.
Acts of the Apostles 22:21 - “But the Lord said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”
Isaiah 35:6 - The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland.
Isaiah 35:7 - The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived.
Isaiah 50:2 - Why was no one there when I came? Why didn’t anyone answer when I called? Is it because I have no power to rescue? No, that is not the reason! For I can speak to the sea and make it dry up! I can turn rivers into deserts covered with dying fish.
Psalms 107:33 - He changes rivers into deserts, and springs of water into dry, thirsty land.
Psalms 107:34 - He turns the fruitful land into salty wastelands, because of the wickedness of those who live there.
Psalms 107:35 - But he also turns deserts into pools of water, the dry land into springs of water.
Matthew 21:43 - I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.
Genesis 18:32 - Finally, Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”
