  • Jeremiah 31:7 - The Lord says, “Sing for joy because the people of Jacob are blessed. Shout because the Lord has made them the greatest nation. Make your praises heard. Say, ‘Lord, save your people. Save the people who are left alive in Israel.’
  • 2 Chronicles 20:25 - So Jehoshaphat and his men went down there to carry off anything of value. Among the dead bodies they found a large amount of supplies, clothes and other things of value. There was more than they could take away. There was so much it took three days to collect all of it.
  • 2 Chronicles 20:26 - On the fourth day they gathered together in the Valley of Berakah. There they praised the Lord. That’s why it’s called the Valley of Berakah to this day.
  • 2 Chronicles 20:27 - Then all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned to Jerusalem. They were filled with joy. Jehoshaphat led them. The Lord had made them happy because all their enemies were dead.
  • 2 Chronicles 20:28 - They entered Jerusalem and went to the Lord’s temple. They were playing harps, lyres and trumpets.
  • Isaiah 54:1 - “Jerusalem, sing! You are now like a woman who never had a child. Burst into song! Shout for joy! You who have never had labor pains, you are now all alone. But you will have more children than a woman who still has a husband,” says the Lord.
  • Isaiah 25:9 - At that time they will say, “He is our God. We trusted in him, and he saved us. He is the Lord. We trusted in him. Let us be filled with joy because he saved us.”
  • Judges 5:3 - “Kings, hear this! Rulers, listen! I will sing to the Lord. I will praise the Lord in song. He is the God of Israel.
  • Isaiah 16:9 - Jazer weeps for the vines of Sibmah. And so do I. Heshbon and Elealeh, I soak you with my tears! There isn’t any ripe fruit for people to shout about. There isn’t any harvest to make them happy.
  • Isaiah 16:10 - Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards. No one sings or shouts in the vineyards. No one stomps on grapes at the winepresses. That’s because the Lord has put an end to the shouting.
  • Isaiah 61:7 - Instead of being put to shame you will receive a double share of wealth. Instead of being dishonored you will be glad to be in your land. You will receive a double share of riches there. And you’ll be filled with joy that will last forever.
  • Jeremiah 31:12 - They will come and shout for joy on Mount Zion. They will be joyful because of everything I give them. I give them grain, olive oil and fresh wine. I give them the young animals in their flocks and herds. Israel will be like a garden that has plenty of water. And they will not be sad anymore.
  • Jeremiah 31:13 - Then young women will dance and be glad. And so will the men, young and old alike. I will turn their mourning into gladness. I will comfort them. And I will give them joy instead of sorrow.
  • Jeremiah 31:14 - I will satisfy the priests. I will give them more than enough. And my people will be filled with the good things I give them,” announces the Lord.
  • Psalm 107:38 - He blessed the people, and they greatly increased their numbers. He kept their herds from getting smaller.
  • Acts 8:8 - So there was great joy in that city.
  • Zechariah 10:8 - I will signal for my people to come, and I will gather them in. I will set them free. There will be as many of them as before.
  • Isaiah 35:2 - the desert will bloom with flowers. It will be very glad and shout for joy. The glorious beauty of Lebanon will be given to it. It will be as beautiful as the rich lands of Carmel and Sharon. Everyone will see the glory of the Lord. They will see the beauty of our God.

  • Isaiah 49:22 - The Lord and King continues, “I will call out to the nations. I will give a signal to them. They will bring back your sons in their arms. They will carry your daughters on their hips.
  • 1 Peter 1:8 - Even though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not see him now, you believe in him. You are filled with a glorious joy that can’t be put into words.
  • Hosea 4:7 - The more priests there were, the more they sinned against me. They have traded their glorious God for that shameful god named Baal.
  • Zechariah 2:11 - ‘At that time many nations will join themselves to me. And they will become my people. I will live among you,’ says the Lord. Then you will know that the Lord who rules over all has sent me to you.
  • Isaiah 61:10 - The people of Jerusalem will say, “We take great delight in the Lord. We are joyful because we belong to our God. He has dressed us with salvation as if it were our clothes. He has put robes of godliness on us. We are like a groom who is dressed up for his wedding. We are like a bride who decorates herself with her jewels.
  • Nehemiah 9:23 - You gave them as many children as there are stars in the sky. You told their parents to enter the land. You told them to take it over. And you brought their children into it.
  • Isaiah 55:12 - “My people, you will go out of Babylon with joy. You will be led out of it in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song as you go. And all the trees in the fields will clap their hands.
  • Luke 11:22 - But when someone stronger attacks, he is overpowered. The attacker takes away the armor the man had trusted in. Then he divides up what he has stolen.
  • Isaiah 12:1 - In days to come, the people of Israel will sing, “Lord, we will praise you. You were angry with us. But now your anger has turned away from us. And you have brought us comfort.
  • Zechariah 8:23 - He continued, “At that time many people of all nations and languages will take hold of one Jew. They will grab hold of the hem of his robe. And they will say, ‘We want to go to Jerusalem with you. We’ve heard that God is with you.’ ”
  • Psalm 4:7 - Fill my heart with joy when the people have lots of grain and fresh wine.
  • Isaiah 66:10 - “Be glad along with Jerusalem, all you who love her. Be filled with joy because of her. Take great delight in her, all you who mourn over her.
  • 1 Samuel 30:16 - He led David down to where the men were. They were scattered all over the countryside. They were eating and drinking and dancing wildly. That’s because they had taken a large amount of goods from those they had attacked. They had taken it from the land of the Philistines and from the people of Judah.
  • Psalm 119:162 - I’m filled with joy because of your promise. It’s like finding a great fortune.
  • Isaiah 35:10 - Those the Lord has saved will return to their land. They will sing as they enter the city of Zion. Joy that lasts forever will be like beautiful crowns on their heads. They will be filled with gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing will be gone.
  • Isaiah 65:18 - So be glad and full of joy forever because of what I will create. I will cause others to take delight in Jerusalem. They will be filled with joy when they see its people.
  • Isaiah 26:15 - Lord, you have made our nation grow. You have made it larger. You have gained glory for yourself. You have increased the size of our land.
