  • Exodus 30:4 - Make two gold rings, and attach them on opposite sides of the altar below the gold molding to hold the carrying poles.
  • Exodus 30:5 - Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
  • Exodus 30:6 - Place the incense altar just outside the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant, in front of the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that covers the tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant. I will meet with you there.
  • Exodus 30:7 - “Every morning when Aaron maintains the lamps, he must burn fragrant incense on the altar.
  • Exodus 30:8 - And each evening when he lights the lamps, he must again burn incense in the Lord’s presence. This must be done from generation to generation.
  • Exodus 30:9 - Do not offer any unholy incense on this altar, or any burnt offerings, grain offerings, or liquid offerings.
  • Exodus 30:10 - “Once a year Aaron must purify the altar by smearing its horns with blood from the offering made to purify the people from their sin. This will be a regular, annual event from generation to generation, for this is the Lord’s most holy altar.”
  • Deuteronomy 32:21 - They have roused my jealousy by worshiping things that are not God; they have provoked my anger with their useless idols. Now I will rouse their jealousy through people who are not even a people; I will provoke their anger through the foolish Gentiles.
  • 2 Kings 22:17 - For my people have abandoned me and offered sacrifices to pagan gods, and I am very angry with them for everything they have done. My anger will burn against this place, and it will not be quenched.’
  • Job 2:5 - But reach out and take away his health, and he will surely curse you to your face!”
  • Isaiah 3:8 - For Jerusalem will stumble, and Judah will fall, because they speak out against the Lord and refuse to obey him. They provoke him to his face.
  • Job 1:11 - But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!”
  • Isaiah 66:17 - “Those who ‘consecrate’ and ‘purify’ themselves in a sacred garden with its idol in the center—feasting on pork and rats and other detestable meats—will come to a terrible end,” says the Lord.
  • Isaiah 1:29 - You will be ashamed of your idol worship in groves of sacred oaks. You will blush because you worshiped in gardens dedicated to idols.
