  • Isaiah 66:12 - This is what the Lord says: “I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity. The wealth of the nations will flow to her. Her children will be nursed at her breasts, carried in her arms, and held on her lap.
  • Isaiah 66:13 - I will comfort you there in Jerusalem as a mother comforts her child.”
  • Ecclesiastes 9:4 - There is hope only for the living. As they say, “It’s better to be a live dog than a dead lion!”
  • Jeremiah 31:18 - I have heard Israel saying, ‘You disciplined me severely, like a calf that needs training for the yoke. Turn me again to you and restore me, for you alone are the Lord my God.
  • Jeremiah 31:19 - I turned away from God, but then I was sorry. I kicked myself for my stupidity! I was thoroughly ashamed of all I did in my younger days.’
  • Jeremiah 31:20 - “Is not Israel still my son, my darling child?” says the Lord. “I often have to punish him, but I still love him. That’s why I long for him and surely will have mercy on him.
  • Isaiah 49:10 - They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun will not reach them anymore. For the Lord in his mercy will lead them; he will lead them beside cool waters.
  • Isaiah 1:18 - “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
  • Isaiah 57:15 - The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.
  • Isaiah 43:24 - You have not brought me fragrant calamus or pleased me with the fat from sacrifices. Instead, you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your faults.
  • Isaiah 43:25 - “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.
  • Ezekiel 36:22 - “Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign Lord: I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect my holy name, on which you brought shame while you were scattered among the nations.
  • Ezekiel 36:23 - I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord.
  • Ezekiel 36:24 - For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.
  • Ezekiel 36:25 - “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.
  • Ezekiel 36:26 - And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
  • Ezekiel 36:27 - And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
  • Ezekiel 36:28 - “And you will live in Israel, the land I gave your ancestors long ago. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
  • Ezekiel 36:29 - I will cleanse you of your filthy behavior. I will give you good crops of grain, and I will send no more famines on the land.
  • Ezekiel 36:30 - I will give you great harvests from your fruit trees and fields, and never again will the surrounding nations be able to scoff at your land for its famines.
  • Ezekiel 36:31 - Then you will remember your past sins and despise yourselves for all the detestable things you did.
  • Ezekiel 36:32 - But remember, says the Sovereign Lord, I am not doing this because you deserve it. O my people of Israel, you should be utterly ashamed of all you have done!
  • Ezekiel 36:33 - “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I cleanse you from your sins, I will repopulate your cities, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
  • Ezekiel 36:34 - The fields that used to lie empty and desolate in plain view of everyone will again be farmed.
  • Ezekiel 36:35 - And when I bring you back, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! The abandoned and ruined cities now have strong walls and are filled with people!’
  • Ezekiel 36:36 - Then the surrounding nations that survive will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted the wasteland. For I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do what I say.
  • Ezekiel 36:37 - “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am ready to hear Israel’s prayers and to increase their numbers like a flock.
  • Ezekiel 36:38 - They will be as numerous as the sacred flocks that fill Jerusalem’s streets at the time of her festivals. The ruined cities will be crowded with people once more, and everyone will know that I am the Lord.”
  • Jeremiah 31:3 - Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
  • Jeremiah 13:17 - And if you still refuse to listen, I will weep alone because of your pride. My eyes will overflow with tears, because the Lord’s flock will be led away into exile.
  • Jeremiah 3:22 - “My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.” “Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply, “for you are the Lord our God.
  • Revelation 7:17 - For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
  • Jeremiah 33:6 - “Nevertheless, the time will come when I will heal Jerusalem’s wounds and give it prosperity and true peace.
  • Hosea 14:4 - The Lord says, “Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; my love will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone forever.
  • Hosea 14:5 - I will be to Israel like a refreshing dew from heaven. Israel will blossom like the lily; it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon.
  • Hosea 14:6 - Its branches will spread out like beautiful olive trees, as fragrant as the cedars of Lebanon.
  • Hosea 14:7 - My people will again live under my shade. They will flourish like grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as the wines of Lebanon.
  • Hosea 14:8 - “O Israel, stay away from idols! I am the one who answers your prayers and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always green; all your fruit comes from me.”
