  • Proverbs 6:4 - Don’t put it off; do it now! Don’t rest until you do.
  • Proverbs 6:5 - Save yourself like a gazelle escaping from a hunter, like a bird fleeing from a net.
  • Proverbs 6:6 - Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!
  • Proverbs 6:7 - Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work,
  • Proverbs 6:8 - they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter.
  • Proverbs 6:9 - But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up?
  • Proverbs 6:10 - A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—
  • Jeremiah 14:13 - Then I said, “O Sovereign Lord, their prophets are telling them, ‘All is well—no war or famine will come. The Lord will surely send you peace.’”
  • Jeremiah 14:14 - Then the Lord said, “These prophets are telling lies in my name. I did not send them or tell them to speak. I did not give them any messages. They prophesy of visions and revelations they have never seen or heard. They speak foolishness made up in their own lying hearts.
  • Ezekiel 13:16 - They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
  • Jeremiah 23:13 - “I saw that the prophets of Samaria were terribly evil, for they prophesied in the name of Baal and led my people of Israel into sin.
  • Jeremiah 23:14 - But now I see that the prophets of Jerusalem are even worse! They commit adultery and love dishonesty. They encourage those who are doing evil so that no one turns away from their sins. These prophets are as wicked as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah once were.”
  • Ezekiel 3:15 - Then I came to the colony of Judean exiles in Tel-abib, beside the Kebar River. I was overwhelmed and sat among them for seven days.
  • Ezekiel 3:16 - After seven days the Lord gave me a message. He said,
  • Ezekiel 3:17 - “Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a message from me, warn people immediately.

  • Proverbs 24:31 - I saw that it was overgrown with nettles. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down.
  • Proverbs 24:32 - Then, as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson:
  • Proverbs 24:33 - A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—
  • Proverbs 24:34 - then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
  • Isaiah 52:8 - The watchmen shout and sing with joy, for before their very eyes they see the Lord returning to Jerusalem.
  • Nahum 3:18 - Your shepherds are asleep, O Assyrian king; your princes lie dead in the dust. Your people are scattered across the mountains with no one to gather them together.

  • Hosea 9:8 - The prophet is a watchman over Israel for my God, yet traps are laid for him wherever he goes. He faces hostility even in the house of God.
  • Isaiah 29:10 - For the Lord has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has closed the eyes of your prophets and visionaries.
  • Philippians 3:2 - Watch out for those dogs, those people who do evil, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved.
