Lamentations 1:2 - She weeps bitterly in the night. Her tears are on her cheeks. Among all her lovers she has no one to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her. They have become her enemies.
Lamentations 1:3 - Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude. She dwells among the nations. She finds no rest. All her persecutors overtook her within the straits.
Lamentations 1:4 - The roads to Zion mourn, because no one comes to the solemn assembly. All her gates are desolate. Her priests sigh. Her virgins are afflicted, and she herself is in bitterness.
Lamentations 1:5 - Her adversaries have become the head. Her enemies prosper; for Yahweh has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions. Her young children have gone into captivity before the adversary.
Lamentations 1:6 - All majesty has departed from the daughter of Zion. Her princes have become like deer that find no pasture. They have gone without strength before the pursuer.
Lamentations 1:7 - Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old; when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and no one helped her. The adversaries saw her. They mocked at her desolations.
Lamentations 1:8 - Jerusalem has grievously sinned. Therefore she has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness. Yes, she sighs, and turns backward.
Lamentations 1:9 - Her filthiness was in her skirts. She didn’t remember her latter end. Therefore she has come down astoundingly. She has no comforter. “See, Yahweh, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself.”
Genesis 11:7 - Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
Lamentations 4:12 - The kings of the earth didn’t believe, neither did all the inhabitants of the world, that the adversary and the enemy would enter into the gates of Jerusalem.
Isaiah 27:10 - For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness. The calf will feed there, and there he will lie down, and consume its branches.
Isaiah 27:11 - When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.
Isaiah 25:10 - For Yahweh’s hand will rest in this mountain. Moab will be trodden down in his place, even like straw is trodden down in the water of the dunghill.
Psalms 74:1 - God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
Psalms 74:2 - Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.
Psalms 74:3 - Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
Psalms 74:4 - Your adversaries have roared in the middle of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.
Psalms 74:5 - They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.
Psalms 74:6 - Now they break all its carved work down with hatchet and hammers.
Psalms 74:7 - They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.
Psalms 74:8 - They said in their heart, “We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
Psalms 74:9 - We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
Psalms 74:10 - How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
Daniel 8:13 - Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, “How long will the vision about the continual burnt offering, and the disobedience that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the army to be trodden under foot be?”

2 Chronicles 36:10 - At the return of the year, king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of Yahweh’s house, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
Genesis 11:4 - They said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let’s make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.”
Psalms 80:12 - Why have you broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
Psalms 80:13 - The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.
Psalms 80:14 - Turn again, we beg you, God of Armies. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,

Leviticus 26:31 - I will lay your cities waste, and will bring your sanctuaries to desolation. I will not take delight in the sweet fragrance of your offerings.
Leviticus 26:32 - I will bring the land into desolation, and your enemies that dwell in it will be astonished at it.
Leviticus 26:33 - I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you. Your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
Leviticus 26:34 - Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.
Leviticus 26:35 - As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your Sabbaths when you lived on it.
Revelation 11:2 - Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.
Deuteronomy 28:49 - Yahweh will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies: a nation whose language you will not understand,
Deuteronomy 28:50 - a nation of fierce facial expressions, that doesn’t respect the elderly, nor show favor to the young.

Deuteronomy 28:52 - They will besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land. They will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which Yahweh your God has given you.
Isaiah 28:3 - The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden under foot.
Isaiah 10:6 - I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Isaiah 28:18 - Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it.
Lamentations 1:15 - “The Lord has set at nothing all my mighty men within me. He has called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men. The Lord has trodden the virgin daughter of Judah as in a wine press.
Luke 21:24 - They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
