  • Nehemiah 1:2 - Hanani, one of my brothers, came to visit me with some other men who had just arrived from Judah. I asked them about the Jews who had returned there from captivity and about how things were going in Jerusalem.
  • Nehemiah 1:3 - They said to me, “Things are not going well for those who returned to the province of Judah. They are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem has been torn down, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”
  • Zephaniah 3:12 - Those who are left will be the lowly and humble, for it is they who trust in the name of the Lord.
  • Isaiah 27:11 - The people are like the dead branches of a tree, broken off and used for kindling beneath the cooking pots. Israel is a foolish and stupid nation, for its people have turned away from God. Therefore, the one who made them will show them no pity or mercy.
  • Jeremiah 37:10 - Even if you were to destroy the entire Babylonian army, leaving only a handful of wounded survivors, they would still stagger from their tents and burn this city to the ground!”
  • John 15:2 - He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
  • John 15:3 - You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
  • John 15:4 - Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
  • John 15:5 - “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
  • John 15:6 - Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.
  • Romans 11:17 - But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.
  • Proverbs 28:1 - The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.
  • Leviticus 26:8 - Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand! All your enemies will fall beneath your sword.
  • Joshua 23:10 - Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for the Lord your God fights for you, just as he has promised.
  • Deuteronomy 32:30 - How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up?
  • Leviticus 26:36 - “And for those of you who survive, I will demoralize you in the land of your enemies. You will live in such fear that the sound of a leaf driven by the wind will send you fleeing. You will run as though fleeing from a sword, and you will fall even when no one pursues you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:25 - “The Lord will cause you to be defeated by your enemies. You will attack your enemies from one direction, but you will scatter from them in seven! You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
