  • Daniel 9:25 - Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler—the Anointed One —comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times.
  • Daniel 9:26 - “After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end.
  • Acts of the Apostles 4:27 - “In fact, this has happened here in this very city! For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were all united against Jesus, your holy servant, whom you anointed.

  • Psalms 89:34 - No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said.
  • Psalms 89:35 - I have sworn an oath to David, and in my holiness I cannot lie:
  • Psalms 89:36 - His dynasty will go on forever; his kingdom will endure as the sun.
  • Psalms 89:37 - It will be as eternal as the moon, my faithful witness in the sky!” Interlude
  • Psalms 89:38 - But now you have rejected him and cast him off. You are angry with your anointed king.
  • Psalms 89:39 - You have renounced your covenant with him; you have thrown his crown in the dust.
  • Psalms 89:40 - You have broken down the walls protecting him and ruined every fort defending him.
  • Psalms 89:41 - Everyone who comes along has robbed him, and he has become a joke to his neighbors.
  • Psalms 89:42 - You have strengthened his enemies and made them all rejoice.
  • Psalms 89:43 - You have made his sword useless and refused to help him in battle.
  • Psalms 89:44 - You have ended his splendor and overturned his throne.

  • Psalms 89:46 - O Lord, how long will this go on? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your anger burn like fire?

  • 2 Kings 18:13 - In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah’s reign, King Sennacherib of Assyria came to attack the fortified towns of Judah and conquered them.
  • 2 Kings 18:14 - King Hezekiah sent this message to the king of Assyria at Lachish: “I have done wrong. I will pay whatever tribute money you demand if you will only withdraw.” The king of Assyria then demanded a settlement of more than eleven tons of silver and one ton of gold.
