  • 1 Chronicles 12:8 - Some brave and experienced warriors from the tribe of Gad also defected to David while he was at the stronghold in the wilderness. They were expert with both shield and spear, as fierce as lions and as swift as deer on the mountains.

  • 1 Chronicles 12:28 - This also included Zadok, a brave young warrior, with 22 members of his family who were all officers.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:29 - From the tribe of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives, there were 3,000 warriors. Most of the men from Benjamin had remained loyal to Saul until this time.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:30 - From the tribe of Ephraim, there were 20,800 brave warriors, each highly respected in his own clan.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:31 - From the half-tribe of Manasseh west of the Jordan, 18,000 men were designated by name to help David become king.

  • 1 Chronicles 12:34 - From the tribe of Naphtali, there were 1,000 officers and 37,000 warriors armed with shields and spears.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:35 - From the tribe of Dan, there were 28,600 warriors, all prepared for battle.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:36 - From the tribe of Asher, there were 40,000 trained warriors, all prepared for battle.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:37 - From the east side of the Jordan River—where the tribes of Reuben and Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh lived—there were 120,000 troops armed with every kind of weapon.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:38 - All these men came in battle array to Hebron with the single purpose of making David the king over all Israel. In fact, everyone in Israel agreed that David should be their king.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:39 - They feasted and drank with David for three days, for preparations had been made by their relatives for their arrival.

  • 2 Chronicles 15:9 - Then Asa called together all the people of Judah and Benjamin, along with the people of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them. For many from Israel had moved to Judah during Asa’s reign when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

  • 2 Chronicles 14:8 - King Asa had an army of 300,000 warriors from the tribe of Judah, armed with large shields and spears. He also had an army of 280,000 warriors from the tribe of Benjamin, armed with small shields and bows. Both armies were composed of well-trained fighting men.

  • Genesis 37:9 - Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it. “Listen, I have had another dream,” he said. “The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!”
  • Genesis 37:10 - This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him. “What kind of dream is that?” he asked. “Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?”
  • 2 Chronicles 17:14 - His army was enrolled according to ancestral clans. From Judah there were 300,000 troops organized in units of 1,000, under the command of Adnah.
  • 2 Chronicles 17:15 - Next in command was Jehohanan, who commanded 280,000 troops.
  • 2 Chronicles 17:16 - Next was Amasiah son of Zicri, who volunteered for the Lord’s service, with 200,000 troops under his command.
  • Revelation 11:15 - Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven: “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”

  • 1 Chronicles 5:2 - The descendants of Judah became the most powerful tribe and provided a ruler for the nation, but the birthright belonged to Joseph.
  • Hebrews 7:14 - What I mean is, our Lord came from the tribe of Judah, and Moses never mentioned priests coming from that tribe.
