- Psalms 18:34 - He trains my hands for war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
- Psalms 18:35 - You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds and sustains me; Your gentleness [Your gracious response when I pray] makes me great.

- Psalms 18:37 - I pursued my enemies and overtook them; And I did not turn back until they were consumed.

- Psalms 18:39 - For You have encircled me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

- Psalms 116:1 - I love the Lord, because He hears [and continues to hear] My voice and my supplications (my pleas, my cries, my specific needs).
- Psalms 116:2 - Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call on Him as long as I live.
- Psalms 116:3 - The cords and sorrows of death encompassed me, And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.
- Psalms 116:4 - Then I called on the name of the Lord: “O Lord, please save my life!”
- Psalms 116:5 - Gracious is the Lord, and [consistently] righteous; Yes, our God is compassionate.
- Psalms 116:6 - The Lord protects the simple (childlike); I was brought low [humbled and discouraged], and He saved me.
- Psalms 116:7 - Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
- Psalms 116:8 - For You have rescued my life from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from stumbling and falling.
- Psalms 116:9 - I will walk [in submissive wonder] before the Lord In the land of the living.
- Psalms 116:10 - I believed [and clung to my God] when I said, “I am greatly afflicted.”
- Psalms 116:11 - I said in my alarm, “All men are liars.”
- Psalms 116:12 - What will I give to the Lord [in return] For all His benefits toward me? [How can I repay Him for His precious blessings?]
- Psalms 116:13 - I will lift up the cup of salvation And call on the name of the Lord.
- Psalms 116:14 - I will pay my vows to the Lord, Yes, in the presence of all His people.
- Psalms 116:15 - Precious [and of great consequence] in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His godly ones [so He watches over them].
- Psalms 116:16 - O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid; You have unfastened my chains.
- Psalms 116:17 - I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call on the name of the Lord.
- Psalms 116:18 - I will pay my vows to the Lord, Yes, in the presence of all His people,
- Psalms 116:19 - In the courts of the Lord’s house (temple)— In the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
- Psalms 40:1 - I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
- Psalms 40:2 - He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path.
- Psalms 40:3 - He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear [with great reverence] And will trust confidently in the Lord.
- Psalms 40:4 - Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not regard the proud nor those who lapse into lies.
- Psalms 40:5 - Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of your wonders, They would be too many to count.
- Psalms 40:6 - Sacrifice and meal offering You do not desire, nor do You delight in them; You have opened my ears and given me the capacity to hear [and obey Your word]; Burnt offerings and sin offerings You do not require.
- Psalms 40:7 - Then I said, “Behold, I come [to the throne]; In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
- Psalms 40:8 - I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.”
- Psalms 40:9 - I have proclaimed good news of righteousness [and the joy that comes from obedience to You] in the great assembly; Behold, I will not restrain my lips [from proclaiming Your righteousness], As You know, O Lord.
- Psalms 40:10 - I have not concealed Your righteousness within my heart; I have proclaimed Your faithfulness and Your salvation. I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly.
- Psalms 40:11 - Do not withhold Your compassion and tender mercy from me, O Lord; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me.
- Psalms 40:12 - For innumerable evils have encompassed me; My sins have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see. They are more numerous than the hairs of my head, And my heart has failed me.
- Psalms 40:13 - Be pleased, O Lord, to save me; O Lord, make haste to help me.
- Psalms 40:14 - Let those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to destroy it; Let those be turned back [in defeat] and dishonored Who delight in my hurt.
- Psalms 40:15 - Let those be appalled and desolate because of their shame Who say to me, “Aha, aha [rejoicing in my misfortune]!”
- Psalms 40:16 - Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!”
- Psalms 40:17 - Even though I am afflicted and needy, Still the Lord takes thought and is mindful of me. You are my help and my rescuer. O my God, do not delay.
- Mark 9:19 - He replied, “O unbelieving (faithless) generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”
