Genesis 17:26 - Abraham and his son Ishmael were both circumcised on that same day.
Genesis 17:27 - And every male in Abraham’s household was circumcised along with him. That included those born into his family or bought from a stranger.
Psalm 119:60 - I won’t waste any time. I will be quick to obey your commands.
Genesis 17:10 - Here is my covenant that you and your family after you must keep. You and every male among you must be circumcised.
Genesis 17:11 - That will be the sign of the covenant between me and you.
Genesis 17:12 - It must be done for all time to come. Every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised. That includes those who are born into your own family or outside it. It also includes those bought with money from a stranger.

Genesis 34:24 - All the men who went out through the city gate agreed with Hamor and his son Shechem. So every male in the city was circumcised.
Galatians 6:15 - Circumcision and uncircumcision don’t mean anything. What really counts is that the new creation has come.
Romans 2:25 - Circumcision has value if you obey the law. But if you break the law, it is just as if you hadn’t been circumcised.
Romans 2:26 - And sometimes those who aren’t circumcised do what the law requires. Won’t God accept them as if they had been circumcised?
Romans 2:27 - Many are not circumcised physically, but they obey the law. They will prove that you are guilty. You are breaking the law, even though you have the written law and are circumcised.
Romans 2:28 - A person is not a Jew if they are a Jew only on the outside. And circumcision is more than just something done to the outside of a man’s body.
Romans 2:29 - No, a person is a Jew only if they are a Jew on the inside. And true circumcision means that the heart has been circumcised by the Holy Spirit. The person whose heart has been circumcised does more than obey the written law. The praise that matters for that kind of person does not come from other people. It comes from God.
Romans 4:9 - Is that blessing only for those who are circumcised? Or is it also for those who are not circumcised? We have been saying that God accepted Abraham’s faith. So his faith made him right with God.
Romans 4:10 - When did it happen? Was it after Abraham was circumcised, or before? It was before he was circumcised, not after!
Romans 4:11 - He was circumcised as a sign of the covenant God had made with him. It showed that his faith had made him right with God before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the father of all believers who have not been circumcised. God accepts their faith. So their faith makes them right with him.
Romans 4:12 - And Abraham is also the father of those who are circumcised and believe. So just being circumcised is not enough. Those who are circumcised must also follow the steps of our father Abraham. He had faith before he was circumcised.
Galatians 5:6 - Circumcision and uncircumcision aren’t worth anything to those who believe in Christ Jesus. The only thing that really counts is faith that shows itself through love.
Proverbs 27:1 - Don’t brag about tomorrow. You don’t know what a day will bring.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 - No matter what you do, work at it with all your might. Remember, you are going to the place of the dead. And there isn’t any work or planning or knowledge or wisdom there.
Genesis 18:19 - I have chosen him. He must direct his children to live in the way that pleases me. And he must direct the members of his family after him to do the same. So he must guide all of them in doing what is right and fair. Then I, the Lord, will do for Abraham what I have promised him.”
Joshua 5:2 - At that time the Lord said to Joshua, “Make knives out of flint. Use them to circumcise the men of Israel.”
Joshua 5:3 - So Joshua made knives out of flint. Then he used them to circumcise the men of Israel at Gibeath Haaraloth.
Joshua 5:4 - Here is why Joshua circumcised them. All the men who came out of Egypt had died. They died while they were wandering through the Sinai Desert. They were the men old enough to serve in the army.
Joshua 5:5 - All the men who came out had been circumcised. But all the men born in the desert during the journey from Egypt hadn’t been circumcised.
Joshua 5:6 - The Israelites had moved around in the desert for 40 years. By the end of that time all the men old enough to serve in the army when they left Egypt had died. That’s because they hadn’t obeyed the Lord. He had made a promise to them. He had told them they wouldn’t see the land. It’s the land he had promised to their people to give us. It’s a land that has plenty of milk and honey.
Joshua 5:7 - Because they hadn’t obeyed him, he raised up their sons to take their place. They were the ones Joshua circumcised. They hadn’t been circumcised yet. That’s because no one had circumcised them during the journey.
Joshua 5:8 - So Joshua circumcised all those men. The whole nation remained in the camp until the men were healed.
Joshua 5:9 - Then the Lord spoke to Joshua. He said, “Today I have taken away from you the shame of being slaves in Egypt.” That’s why the place where the men were circumcised has been called Gilgal to this very day.
1 Corinthians 7:18 - Was a man already circumcised when God chose him? Then he should not become uncircumcised. Was he uncircumcised when God chose him? Then he should not be circumcised.
1 Corinthians 7:19 - Being circumcised means nothing. Being uncircumcised means nothing. Doing what God commands is what counts.
