- Deuteronomy 28:65 - And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul.
- Deuteronomy 28:66 - Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life.
- Deuteronomy 28:67 - In the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see.
- Deuteronomy 28:68 - And the Lord will bring you back in ships to Egypt, a journey that I promised that you should never make again; and there you shall offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.”
- Nehemiah 9:30 - Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.
- 1 Kings 9:6 - But if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,
- 1 Kings 9:7 - then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, and Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
- 1 Kings 9:8 - And this house will become a heap of ruins. Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’
- 1 Kings 9:9 - Then they will say, ‘Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’”
- 1 Samuel 12:15 - But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then the hand of the Lord will be against you and your king.
- Deuteronomy 32:15 - “But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, stout, and sleek; then he forsook God who made him and scoffed at the Rock of his salvation.
- Deuteronomy 32:16 - They stirred him to jealousy with strange gods; with abominations they provoked him to anger.
- Deuteronomy 32:17 - They sacrificed to demons that were no gods, to gods they had never known, to new gods that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded.
- Deuteronomy 32:18 - You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you, and you forgot the God who gave you birth.
- Deuteronomy 32:19 - “The Lord saw it and spurned them, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
- Deuteronomy 32:20 - And he said, ‘I will hide my face from them; I will see what their end will be, for they are a perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.
- Deuteronomy 32:21 - They have made me jealous with what is no god; they have provoked me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are no people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
- Deuteronomy 32:22 - For a fire is kindled by my anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol, devours the earth and its increase, and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.
- Deuteronomy 32:23 - “‘And I will heap disasters upon them; I will spend my arrows on them;
- Deuteronomy 32:24 - they shall be wasted with hunger, and devoured by plague and poisonous pestilence; I will send the teeth of beasts against them, with the venom of things that crawl in the dust.
- Deuteronomy 32:25 - Outdoors the sword shall bereave, and indoors terror, for young man and woman alike, the nursing child with the man of gray hairs.
- Deuteronomy 32:26 - I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces; I will wipe them from human memory,”
- Deuteronomy 32:27 - had I not feared provocation by the enemy, lest their adversaries should misunderstand, lest they should say, “Our hand is triumphant, it was not the Lord who did all this.”’
- Deuteronomy 32:28 - “For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them.
- 2 Kings 17:5 - Then the king of Assyria invaded all the land and came to Samaria, and for three years he besieged it.
- 2 Kings 17:6 - In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria, and he carried the Israelites away to Assyria and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
- 2 Kings 17:7 - And this occurred because the people of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods
- 2 Kings 17:8 - and walked in the customs of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel, and in the customs that the kings of Israel had practiced.
- Acts 7:51 - “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.

- Leviticus 26:14 - “But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments,
- Leviticus 26:15 - if you spurn my statutes, and if your soul abhors my rules, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant,
- Leviticus 26:16 - then I will do this to you: I will visit you with panic, with wasting disease and fever that consume the eyes and make the heart ache. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
- Leviticus 26:17 - I will set my face against you, and you shall be struck down before your enemies. Those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when none pursues you.
- Leviticus 26:18 - And if in spite of this you will not listen to me, then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins,
- Leviticus 26:19 - and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.
- Leviticus 26:20 - And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
- Leviticus 26:21 - “Then if you walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will continue striking you, sevenfold for your sins.
- Leviticus 26:22 - And I will let loose the wild beasts against you, which shall bereave you of your children and destroy your livestock and make you few in number, so that your roads shall be deserted.
- Leviticus 26:23 - “And if by this discipline you are not turned to me but walk contrary to me,
- Leviticus 26:24 - then I also will walk contrary to you, and I myself will strike you sevenfold for your sins.
- Leviticus 26:25 - And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute vengeance for the covenant. And if you gather within your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
- Leviticus 26:26 - When I break your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in a single oven and shall dole out your bread again by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.
- Leviticus 26:27 - “But if in spite of this you will not listen to me, but walk contrary to me,
- Leviticus 26:28 - then I will walk contrary to you in fury, and I myself will discipline you sevenfold for your sins.
- Leviticus 26:29 - You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.
- Leviticus 26:30 - And I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars and cast your dead bodies upon the dead bodies of your idols, and my soul will abhor you.
- Leviticus 26:31 - And I will lay your cities waste and will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your pleasing aromas.
- Leviticus 26:32 - And I myself will devastate the land, so that your enemies who settle in it shall be appalled at it.
- Leviticus 26:33 - And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
- Leviticus 26:34 - “Then the land shall enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest, and enjoy its Sabbaths.
- Leviticus 26:35 - As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, the rest that it did not have on your Sabbaths when you were dwelling in it.
- Leviticus 26:36 - And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a driven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues.
- Leviticus 26:37 - They shall stumble over one another, as if to escape a sword, though none pursues. And you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
- Leviticus 26:38 - And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
- Leviticus 26:39 - And those of you who are left shall rot away in your enemies’ lands because of their iniquity, and also because of the iniquities of their fathers they shall rot away like them.
- Leviticus 26:40 - “But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they committed against me, and also in walking contrary to me,
- Leviticus 26:41 - so that I walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies—if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled and they make amends for their iniquity,
- Leviticus 26:42 - then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and I will remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.
- Leviticus 26:43 - But the land shall be abandoned by them and enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them, and they shall make amends for their iniquity, because they spurned my rules and their soul abhorred my statutes.
- Leviticus 26:44 - Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not spurn them, neither will I abhor them so as to destroy them utterly and break my covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God.
- Leviticus 26:45 - But I will for their sake remember the covenant with their forefathers, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.”
- Leviticus 26:46 - These are the statutes and rules and laws that the Lord made between himself and the people of Israel through Moses on Mount Sinai.
- Zechariah 1:4 - Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
- Zechariah 1:5 - Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
- 2 Chronicles 36:16 - But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.
- 2 Chronicles 36:17 - Therefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand.
- 2 Chronicles 36:18 - And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon.
- 2 Chronicles 36:19 - And they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels.
- Nehemiah 9:32 - “Now, therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us, upon our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our fathers, and all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day.
- Nehemiah 9:33 - Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly.
- Nehemiah 9:34 - Our kings, our princes, our priests, and our fathers have not kept your law or paid attention to your commandments and your warnings that you gave them.
- 2 Chronicles 30:7 - Do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were faithless to the Lord God of their fathers, so that he made them a desolation, as you see.
- Deuteronomy 30:17 - But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them,
- Deuteronomy 30:18 - I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess.
- Deuteronomy 30:19 - I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,
- Jeremiah 25:18 - Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day;
- Daniel 9:5 - we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules.
- Daniel 9:6 - We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
- Daniel 9:7 - To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you.
- Daniel 9:8 - To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.
- 2 Chronicles 29:6 - For our fathers have been unfaithful and have done what was evil in the sight of the Lord our God. They have forsaken him and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the Lord and turned their backs.
