พระคัมภีร์ ฉบับแปลใหม่ - ครั้นแล้ว ผู้ปกครองแคว้น เจ้าหน้าที่ชั้นสูง ผู้ว่าราชการ ที่ปรึกษา ผู้ดูแลกองคลัง ผู้ตัดสินความ เจ้าหน้าที่บังคับคดี และบรรดาเจ้าหน้าที่ของแคว้นต่างๆ จึงมาร่วมประชุมในงานถวายรูปเคารพที่กษัตริย์ได้ตั้งขึ้น และพวกเขาก็ยืนที่เบื้องหน้ารูปเคารพนั้น

Psaumes 82:1 - Psaume d’Asaph . Dieu se tient ╵au conseil divin, au milieu des « dieux », ╵il rend la justice :
Psaumes 82:2 - « Ah ! jusques à quand ╵rendrez-vous des jugements iniques et prendrez-vous le parti ╵des méchants ? Pause
Psaumes 82:3 - Faites droit au faible, ╵et à l’orphelin, et rendez justice ╵au pauvre et au démuni ,
Psaumes 82:4 - libérez le faible ╵et le défavorisé, délivrez-les de la main ╵des méchants.
Psaumes 82:5 - Mais ils ne comprennent rien, ╵ils ne savent rien, ils errent dans les ténèbres ; les fondements du pays ╵en sont ébranlés.
Psaumes 82:6 - J’avais dit : ╵“Vous êtes des dieux , oui, vous tous, vous êtes ╵des fils du Très-Haut !”
Psaumes 82:7 - Cependant, vous périrez ╵comme tous les hommes, et vous tomberez ╵comme n’importe quel dirigeant. »
Psaumes 82:8 - O Dieu, lève-toi ╵et viens gouverner le monde, car tu as pour possession ╵tous les peuples !
Romains 3:11 - pas d’homme capable de comprendre, pas un qui se tourne vers Dieu.
Apocalypse 13:13 - Elle accomplissait des signes impressionnants, faisant tomber le feu du ciel sur la terre à la vue de tout le monde.
Apocalypse 13:14 - Par ces signes qu’il lui fut donné d’accomplir au service de la première bête, elle égarait tous les habitants de la terre. Elle leur demandait de faire une image de la bête qui avait été frappée de l’épée et qui était de nouveau vivante.
Apocalypse 13:15 - Il lui fut même donné d’animer l’image de la bête, et l’image se mit à parler et elle faisait mourir ceux qui refusaient de l’adorer.
Apocalypse 13:16 - Elle amena tous les hommes, gens du peuple et grands personnages, riches et pauvres, hommes libres et esclaves, à se faire marquer d’un signe sur la main droite ou sur le front.
Apocalypse 17:13 - Ils poursuivent un même but et mettent leur puissance et leur autorité au service de la bête.
Romains 1:21 - car alors qu’ils connaissent Dieu, ils ne lui rendent pas l’honneur que l’on doit à Dieu et ne lui expriment pas leur reconnaissance. Ils se sont égarés dans des raisonnements absurdes et leur pensée dépourvue d’intelligence s’est trouvée obscurcie.
Romains 1:22 - Ils se prétendent sages, mais ils sont devenus fous.
Romains 1:23 - Ainsi, au lieu d’adorer le Dieu immortel et glorieux, ils adorent des idoles, images d’hommes mortels, d’oiseaux, de quadrupèdes ou de reptiles.
Romains 1:24 - C’est pourquoi Dieu les a abandonnés aux passions de leur cœur qui les portent à des pratiques dégradantes, de sorte qu’ils ont avili leur propre corps.
Romains 1:25 - Oui, ils ont délibérément échangé la vérité concernant Dieu contre le mensonge, ils ont adoré la créature et lui ont rendu un culte, au lieu du Créateur, lui qui est béni éternellement. Amen !
Romains 1:26 - Voilà pourquoi Dieu les a abandonnés à des passions avilissantes : leurs femmes ont renoncé aux relations sexuelles naturelles pour se livrer à des pratiques contre nature.
Romains 1:27 - Les hommes, de même, délaissant les rapports naturels avec le sexe féminin, se sont enflammés de désir les uns pour les autres ; ils ont commis entre hommes des actes honteux et ont reçu en leur personne le salaire que méritaient leurs égarements.
Romains 1:28 - Ils n’ont pas jugé bon de connaître Dieu, c’est pourquoi Dieu les a abandonnés à leur pensée faussée, si bien qu’ils font ce qu’on ne doit pas.
1 Corinthiens 1:24 - Mais pour tous ceux que Dieu appelle, qu’ils soient juifs ou grecs, Christ est puissance de Dieu et sagesse de Dieu.
1 Corinthiens 1:25 - Car la folie de Dieu est plus sage que la sagesse des hommes, et la faiblesse de Dieu est plus forte que la force des hommes.
1 Corinthiens 1:26 - Considérez donc, frères et sœurs, la situation dans laquelle Dieu vous a appelés à lui. On ne trouve parmi vous que peu de sages selon les critères humains, peu de personnalités influentes, peu de membres de la haute société !
Actes 19:34 - Mais dès qu’on eut appris qu’il était Juif, tous se remirent à crier en chœur pendant près de deux heures : Grande est l’Artémis d’Ephèse !
Actes 19:35 - A la fin, le secrétaire de la ville parvint à calmer le peuple : Ephésiens, dit-il, quel homme au monde ignore que notre cité d’Ephèse est la gardienne du temple de la grande Artémis et de sa statue tombée du ciel ?
Apocalypse 17:17 - Car Dieu leur a inspiré la résolution d’exécuter son propre plan, en faisant cause commune et en mettant leur pouvoir royal au service de la bête jusqu’à ce que toutes les décisions de Dieu soient accomplies.
