  • Genesis 48:18 - “No, my father,” he said. “This one is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head.”
  • Genesis 48:19 - But his father refused. “I know, my son; I know,” he replied. “Manasseh will also become a great people, but his younger brother will become even greater. And his descendants will become a multitude of nations.”

  • Mark 9:43 - If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands.
  • Mark 9:45 - If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one foot than to be thrown into hell with two feet.
  • Mark 9:47 - And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. It’s better to enter the Kingdom of God with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,
  • Mark 9:48 - ‘where the maggots never die and the fire never goes out.’
  • Ezekiel 20:47 - Tell the southern wilderness, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Hear the word of the Lord! I will set you on fire, and every tree, both green and dry, will be burned. The terrible flames will not be quenched and will scorch everything from south to north.
  • Ezekiel 20:48 - And everyone in the world will see that I, the Lord, have set this fire. It will not be put out.’”
  • Amos 5:4 - Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel: “Come back to me and live!
  • Amos 5:14 - Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed.
