Take particular care in picking out your building materials. Eventually there is going to be an inspection. If you use cheap or inferior materials, you’ll be found out. The inspection will be thorough and rigorous. You won’t get by with a thing. If your work passes inspection, fine; if it doesn’t, your part of the building will be torn out and started over. But you won’t be torn out; you’ll survive—but just barely.

Matthew 21:33 - “Now listen to another story. A certain landowner planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country.
Matthew 21:34 - At the time of the grape harvest, he sent his servants to collect his share of the crop.
Matthew 21:35 - But the farmers grabbed his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another.
Matthew 21:36 - So the landowner sent a larger group of his servants to collect for him, but the results were the same.
Matthew 21:37 - “Finally, the owner sent his son, thinking, ‘Surely they will respect my son.’
Matthew 21:38 - “But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another, ‘Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’
Matthew 21:39 - So they grabbed him, dragged him out of the vineyard, and murdered him.
Matthew 21:40 - “When the owner of the vineyard returns,” Jesus asked, “what do you think he will do to those farmers?”
Matthew 21:41 - The religious leaders replied, “He will put the wicked men to a horrible death and lease the vineyard to others who will give him his share of the crop after each harvest.”
Matthew 21:42 - Then Jesus asked them, “Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures? ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.’
Matthew 21:43 - I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.
Matthew 21:44 - Anyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on. ”
Isaiah 61:11 - The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, with plants springing up everywhere.
1 Corinthians 3:6 - I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.
1 Corinthians 6:19 - Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,

Matthew 20:1 - “For the Kingdom of Heaven is like the landowner who went out early one morning to hire workers for his vineyard.
Matthew 20:2 - He agreed to pay the normal daily wage and sent them out to work.
Matthew 20:3 - “At nine o’clock in the morning he was passing through the marketplace and saw some people standing around doing nothing.
Matthew 20:4 - So he hired them, telling them he would pay them whatever was right at the end of the day.
Matthew 20:5 - So they went to work in the vineyard. At noon and again at three o’clock he did the same thing.
Matthew 20:6 - “At five o’clock that afternoon he was in town again and saw some more people standing around. He asked them, ‘Why haven’t you been working today?’
Matthew 20:7 - “They replied, ‘Because no one hired us.’ “The landowner told them, ‘Then go out and join the others in my vineyard.’
Matthew 20:8 - “That evening he told the foreman to call the workers in and pay them, beginning with the last workers first.
Matthew 20:9 - When those hired at five o’clock were paid, each received a full day’s wage.
Matthew 20:10 - When those hired first came to get their pay, they assumed they would receive more. But they, too, were paid a day’s wage.

Matthew 20:12 - ‘Those people worked only one hour, and yet you’ve paid them just as much as you paid us who worked all day in the scorching heat.’

Isaiah 5:4 - What more could I have done for my vineyard that I have not already done? When I expected sweet grapes, why did my vineyard give me bitter grapes?
Isaiah 5:5 - Now let me tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will tear down its hedges and let it be destroyed. I will break down its walls and let the animals trample it.
Isaiah 5:6 - I will make it a wild place where the vines are not pruned and the ground is not hoed, a place overgrown with briers and thorns. I will command the clouds to drop no rain on it.
Isaiah 5:7 - The nation of Israel is the vineyard of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The people of Judah are his pleasant garden. He expected a crop of justice, but instead he found oppression. He expected to find righteousness, but instead he heard cries of violence.
Matthew 13:36 - Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said, “Please explain to us the story of the weeds in the field.”
Matthew 13:37 - Jesus replied, “The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the good seed.
Matthew 13:38 - The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one.
Matthew 13:39 - The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, and the harvesters are the angels.
Matthew 13:40 - “Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world.
Matthew 13:41 - The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.
Matthew 13:42 - And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Hebrews 3:3 - But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself.

Matthew 13:18 - “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds:
Matthew 13:19 - The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts.
Matthew 13:20 - The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy.
Matthew 13:21 - But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.
Matthew 13:22 - The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.
Matthew 13:23 - The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
Matthew 13:24 - Here is another story Jesus told: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field.
Matthew 13:25 - But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away.
Matthew 13:26 - When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew.
Matthew 13:27 - “The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’
Matthew 13:28 - “‘An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed. “‘Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.
Matthew 13:29 - “‘No,’ he replied, ‘you’ll uproot the wheat if you do.
Matthew 13:30 - Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.’”
Isaiah 28:24 - Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting?
Isaiah 28:25 - Does he not finally plant his seeds— black cumin, cumin, wheat, barley, and emmer wheat— each in its proper way, and each in its proper place?
Isaiah 28:26 - The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding.
Isaiah 28:27 - A heavy sledge is never used to thresh black cumin; rather, it is beaten with a light stick. A threshing wheel is never rolled on cumin; instead, it is beaten lightly with a flail.
Isaiah 28:28 - Grain for bread is easily crushed, so he doesn’t keep on pounding it. He threshes it under the wheels of a cart, but he doesn’t pulverize it.
Isaiah 28:29 - The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom.
1 Timothy 3:15 - so that if I am delayed, you will know how people must conduct themselves in the household of God. This is the church of the living God, which is the pillar and foundation of the truth.
Matthew 13:3 - He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.
Matthew 13:4 - As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them.
Matthew 13:5 - Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow.
Matthew 13:6 - But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.
Matthew 13:7 - Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants.
Matthew 13:8 - Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!
Matthew 13:9 - Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
2 Corinthians 6:16 - And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Psalms 65:9 - You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.
Psalms 65:10 - You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.
Psalms 65:11 - You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
Psalms 65:12 - The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy.
Psalms 65:13 - The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!
Matthew 16:18 - Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
Psalms 80:8 - You brought us from Egypt like a grapevine; you drove away the pagan nations and transplanted us into your land.

Isaiah 61:3 - To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
Zechariah 6:12 - Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Here is the man called the Branch. He will branch out from where he is and build the Temple of the Lord.
Zechariah 6:13 - Yes, he will build the Temple of the Lord. Then he will receive royal honor and will rule as king from his throne. He will also serve as priest from his throne, and there will be perfect harmony between his two roles.’
Matthew 21:23 - When Jesus returned to the Temple and began teaching, the leading priests and elders came up to him. They demanded, “By what authority are you doing all these things? Who gave you the right?”
Matthew 21:24 - “I’ll tell you by what authority I do these things if you answer one question,” Jesus replied.
Matthew 21:25 - “Did John’s authority to baptize come from heaven, or was it merely human?” They talked it over among themselves. “If we say it was from heaven, he will ask us why we didn’t believe John.
Matthew 21:26 - But if we say it was merely human, we’ll be mobbed because the people believe John was a prophet.”
Matthew 21:27 - So they finally replied, “We don’t know.” And Jesus responded, “Then I won’t tell you by what authority I do these things.
Matthew 21:28 - “But what do you think about this? A man with two sons told the older boy, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’
Matthew 21:29 - The son answered, ‘No, I won’t go,’ but later he changed his mind and went anyway.
Matthew 21:30 - Then the father told the other son, ‘You go,’ and he said, ‘Yes, sir, I will.’ But he didn’t go.
Matthew 21:31 - “Which of the two obeyed his father?” They replied, “The first.” Then Jesus explained his meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do.
Matthew 21:32 - For John the Baptist came and showed you the right way to live, but you didn’t believe him, while tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even when you saw this happening, you refused to believe him and repent of your sins.
Matthew 21:33 - “Now listen to another story. A certain landowner planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country.
Matthew 21:34 - At the time of the grape harvest, he sent his servants to collect his share of the crop.
Matthew 21:35 - But the farmers grabbed his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another.
Matthew 21:36 - So the landowner sent a larger group of his servants to collect for him, but the results were the same.
Matthew 21:37 - “Finally, the owner sent his son, thinking, ‘Surely they will respect my son.’
Matthew 21:38 - “But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another, ‘Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’
Matthew 21:39 - So they grabbed him, dragged him out of the vineyard, and murdered him.
Matthew 21:40 - “When the owner of the vineyard returns,” Jesus asked, “what do you think he will do to those farmers?”
Matthew 21:41 - The religious leaders replied, “He will put the wicked men to a horrible death and lease the vineyard to others who will give him his share of the crop after each harvest.”
Matthew 21:42 - Then Jesus asked them, “Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures? ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.’
Matthew 21:43 - I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.
Matthew 21:44 - Anyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on. ”
Isaiah 61:11 - The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, with plants springing up everywhere.
1 Corinthians 3:6 - I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.
1 Corinthians 6:19 - Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,
Mark 4:26 - Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground.
Mark 4:27 - Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens.
Mark 4:28 - The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens.
Mark 4:29 - And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle, for the harvest time has come.”
John 4:35 - You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest.
John 4:36 - The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike!
John 4:37 - You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true.
John 4:38 - I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”
Matthew 9:37 - He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.
Acts of the Apostles 4:11 - For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
Mark 16:20 - And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.
John 15:1 - “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.
John 15:2 - He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
John 15:3 - You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
John 15:4 - Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

John 15:6 - Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.
John 15:7 - But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
John 15:8 - When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
