“ On the day of the Lord’s sacrifice I will punish the officials and the king’s sons and all those clad in foreign clothes.

When the Lord’ s sacrifice is ready to be offered, I will punish the officials and the king’s sons. I will also judge all those who follow the practices of other nations.

And on the day of the Lord’s sacrifice—“ I will punish the officials and the king’s sons and all who array themselves in foreign attire.

“ On that day of judgment,” says the Lord,“ I will punish the leaders and princes of Judah and all those following pagan customs.

On the day of the LORD’s sacrifice I will punish the officials, the king’s sons, and all who are dressed in foreign clothing.

“ Then it will come about on the day of the Lord’s sacrifice That I will punish the princes, the king’s sons, And all who clothe themselves with foreign garments.

“ And it shall be, In the day of the LORD’s sacrifice, That I will punish the princes and the king’s children, And all such as are clothed with foreign apparel.

And it shall come to pass in the day of Jehovah’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s sons, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel.

On the day of the Lord’s sacrifice I will punish the officials, the king’s sons, and all who are dressed in foreign clothing.

And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

“ On the day of the LORD’s sacrificial meal, I will punish the princes and the king’s sons, and all who wear foreign styles of clothing.

It will happen in the day of Yahweh’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, the king’s sons, and all those who are clothed with foreign clothing.

In that day the Lord will punish the powers in the heavens above and the kings on the earth below. (niv)

In that day the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces,the earrings and bracelets and veils,the headdresses and anklets and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms,the signet rings and nose rings,the fine robes and the capes and cloaks, the pursesand mirrors, and the linen garments and tiaras and shawls.Instead of fragrance there will be a stench; instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-dressed hair, baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, branding. When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say,“ I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes. (niv)

There at Riblah the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes and also killed all the nobles of Judah.Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon. (niv)

Josiah’s servants brought his body in a chariot from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father.Jehoahaz was twenty- three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his predecessors had done.Pharaoh Necho put him in chains at Riblah in the land of Hamath so that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and he imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.Pharaoh Necho made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed Eliakim’s name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt, and there he died. (niv)

and he was captured. He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where sentence was pronounced on him.They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon. (niv)

And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” (niv)

And Jehu said to the keeper of the wardrobe,“ Bring robes for all the servants of Baal.” So he brought out robes for them. (niv)

Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.As the Lord had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the Lord. A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this. (niv)

Of those still in the city, he took the officer in charge of the fighting men, and five royal advisers. He also took the secretary who was chief officer in charge of conscripting the people of the land and sixty of the conscripts who were found in the city.Nebuzaradan the commander took them all and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.There at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed. So Judah went into captivity, away from her land. (niv)

“ As surely as I live,” declares the Lord,“ even if you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand, I would still pull you off.I will deliver you into the hands of those who want to kill you, those you fear— Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the Babylonians.I will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another country, where neither of you was born, and there you both will die.You will never come back to the land you long to return to.”Is this man Jehoiachin a despised, broken pot, an object no one wants? Why will he and his children be hurled out, cast into a land they do not know?O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord!This is what the Lord says:“ Record this man as if childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime, for none of his offspring will prosper, none will sit on the throne of David or rule anymore in Judah.” (niv)

For this is what the Lord says about Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place:“ He will never return.He will die in the place where they have led him captive; he will not see this land again.”“ Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his own people work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.He says,‘ I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms.’ So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red.“ Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the Lord.“ But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.”Therefore this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah:“ They will not mourn for him:‘ Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ They will not mourn for him:‘ Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!’He will have the burial of a donkey— dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.” (niv)
